Runelords

Post by SapphireRoad »

Anyone read David Farland's series about the King of Earth?
I stopped reading sequel novels about his son since they got too surreal with fractions into shadow worlds... now it'd be worth examining but I feel too old to read long fantasy novels...
The first serie of novels about Gaborn val Orden were awesome. The idea of dedication rites to empower heroes felt like a very original concept back then, now I can sort of understand the magical principles beneath it.
It was very witchcraft related fantasy saga.

So I looked into dude's sites and found out he is an amazing writing teacher. He is, indeed.
Can't describe how much I got kicked into action by his advices, insight on psychology of writer and reader
and this article https://mystorydoctor.com/write-like-a-warrior/
Write like a warrior boiled my blood into action you wouldn't believe. For the first time in life I exceeded my own storytelling attempts that would end at 1st or 2nd chapter. Farland rules.
