More wonderful goodies...

Post by T'a Nuk »

Having jumped into wandcrafting over the past few months, I have some beautiful items to offer. I have been crafting custom items on commission for many years, and now I have added wands to my repertoire. Currently I have wands and wood stock in Rowan, Tamarack, Maple, Willow, Birch, Fir, Cedar, Pine, Apple, and Elm, so far. I will post some pictures of my latest finished pieces. I have also come into some beautiful Great Horned Owl feathers. If anything I have mentioned appeals to anyone, or if there is something specific you have been seeking, please don't hesitate to inquire!

If I was in the market for a wand, I would definitely contact you. I currently have a very nice one that my daughter commissioned for me. My son-in-law's friend does woodworking, so I have a very nice replica of Professor MacGonagall's wand.

Every time I get into something new, one of my favorite parts is learning. Wand lore has so many facets that I think would take a hundred years to learn. The fun thing is that yes, it is a tool, but it can be of any description. Woods, metals, crystals, stones, bones, and antlers, not to mention countless embellishments. They lend themselves to be tailored to match the personality of the witch. So far I have really enjoyed crafting unique items for people which turn out to be not only useful, but art pieces as well. I met a guy that just collects them. Wonderful!

I used to work in metal when I was younger. At garage sales you could pick up silverware that was silver. Also the materials for the wax run-off method weren't so over priced. You could do a casting and work it warm so it was easy to engrave. I've got an amulet that I use like a wand. It has the focus and intent of many years wrapped in it. It doesn't come off me until my daughter gets it when I no longer require it. I've even had to shave part of my chest once so it could get solidly taped to me when I was being operated on. I will wait to view your creations with great anticipation.

I don't get to work with metal much, but I am fortunate that I am provided with a bounty of Nature's gifts. I have tried to upload my pics, but each time I get a message saying the file is too big, but you can see my stuff at Sagefire Studios on FB. In fact I just finished a wand.

Would love to see your work T'a Nuk.

I did actually. We were in 93% totality, combined with all the smoke from the nearby wildfires, it created a very surreal scene. My page is Sagefire Studio on Facebook. Check it out. It will have to do until I can create a real page. Of all my ventures, the wands seem to be the most popular. I am thinking of sending a complimentary wand to Pagan supply shops all over the country and just see what happens...

There is a way to shrink the photo first, but maybe not from a phone...don't know what sort of device youre posting from.
Searched and searched for this page on facebook just not finding it :(

That's so cool you were in a good position for the eclipse, here in so. Cali it was only about 65%, but it was an eerie overcast not like just clouds for some reason. The smoke must have added an apocalyptic feeling, wow.

Bye for now!

The smoke is pretty heavy, apocalyptic is a good description, pink sunrises and orange moons. Beautiful but difficult for some to breathe. These are photos taken with a cheap digital camera and downloaded to a picture file. Can't find Sagfire Studio? Weird, I wonder if other people are having difficulty as well. I really would like these to be seen...
