Losing a loved animal

Post by RhiannonRain »

Please. I don't know what else to say. My best friend in the world. She's gone. How do you deal? What can I do.

I'm very sorry for your loss, and right now lots of tears is about the only thing you can do.
Time will bring the light back, but the time is undetermined.

It’s a painful pill to swallow but all Mother Earth’s creatures fulfill a life cycle and pass on. Some cycles are cut short by events or illness, but each had its turn. Sometimes we get to share part of our cycle with a special One. Give thanks. And yes, cry if you can, and remember the good and it was all good. What is remembered lives. Hug.

I'm so sorry to hear about your baby. I had to euthanize one of my dogs earlier this year. She had congestive heart failure and she was giving up. She had a brother who still lives with us. We got a new puppy about a month afterwards, however, it doesn't take away the hurt or loss of losing one. It's unfortunate that they have shorter lives than we do. One thing that I do is talk to my deceased fur babies. I have one that visits me from time to time. She'll bark at the door and I'll get up thinking it is my boy dog and walk all the way to my parents bedroom and there he'll be on the bed. They know we're grieving them. Just take it step by step. Prayers hon.
