Indiana residents?

Post by onyxnight »

I am wanting to collect storm/rain water, but I’m pretty sure I heard it was illegal, most specifically in Kentucky? I was wondering if there are any Indiana residents that know anything about this law, and if it’s illegal for me to collect rainwater?

Thank you and blessed be!

You can look up your state & city laws at any .gov site but for the life of me i cant imagine who'd notice if you place a bowl, a basin or a washtub out in the rain?? Just don't leave it sit. Such laws are to prevent uncovered "reclaimed" water from stagnating & being mosquito breeding tanks. They'd tried some similar milarkey in Michigan.

Ok. That’s what I thought, I never thought it made sense for collecting rainwater to be illegal, that’s a hard thing to stop. Anyway, thank you and blessed be!
