Traveling Herbs?
I'm in the process of making a portable altar out of a small vintage jewelry chest. I was just wondering what herbs some other people like to keep in their traveling altars?
"And those who were seen dancing
were thought to be insane
by those who could not hear the music."
Someone told me to stop living in a fantasy land.
I nearly fell off my unicorn.

Like blue_moon said, sage.
I would add thyme, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice. But that's me

I harvest local mugwort to put in my porta-altar, and I like to keep some salt on hand.
A small piece of palo santo is nice because you can burn it over and over
And like the others said sage is a staple ...and any kind of sage (salvia) will work, their properties are pretty similar.

In European tradition mugwort is the herb for travellers. In Spain mullein is used between feet and shoes for long walking distances.

In my practice I deal with local energies a lot and I like to take tobacco with me. In the past when I had time I would grow it myself so it's not filled with carcinogens and impurities. I still have some left but I need to grow more this summer.
