Sage oil

Post by raynelae »

Hi everyone :)
I have a sage plant and I was wondering if it's safe to use sage oil. I have read on a few websites that sage oil can be harmful, but that just doesn't make sense to me.
Blessed be :)

Sage oil can be harmful to those who are pregnant, and in high doses due to its high thujone content. It can cause convulsions, so it shouldn't be used by people with epilepsy and high blood pressure.

The therapeutic properties of sage oil are anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiseptic, antispasmodic, astringent, digestive, diuretic, emmenagogue, febrifuge, hypertensive, laxative, stomachic and tonic.
