Agrimony- Agrimony's astringency is effective against diarrhea, especially in small children, and because of its low toxicity, the herb is particularly suitable for children's illnesses. Agrimony stops irritation of the urinary tract that may increase a child's urge to urinate and, therefore, may be useful in the treatment of bladder leakage (cannot hold urine), bed-wetting and adult incontinence.

Basil-Basil in considered a safe and gentle tonic for nursing mothers. Taken as a tea, it helps to expel gas in infants and increases lactation in the mother.

Bergamot- To aid digestion, and relieve colic and gas, a blend of bergamot oil can be used to massage the abdomen.

Caraway- Distilled Caraway water is considered a useful remedy in the flatulent colic of infants, and is an excellent vehicle for children's medicine. When sweetened, its flavour is agreeable. (Do not sweeten babies tea at all, especially with honey!!) One ounce of the bruised seeds infused for 6 hours in a pint of cold water makes a good Caraway julep for infants, from 1 to 3 teaspoons full being given for a dose.

Catnip- It is good in restlessness, colic, insanity and nervousness, and is used as a mild nervine for children, one of its chief uses being, indeed, in the treatment of children's ailments. An injection of Catnip Tea is also used for colicky pains.

Dill- Like the other umbelliferous fruits and volatile oils, both the herb dill and the oil of Dill plants possess stimulant, carminative and stomachic properties, making them of considerable medicinal value. Dill Water, which is a common domestic remedy for the flatulence of infants is a useful vehicle for children's medicine generally.
Dill is carminative, it eases gas pains, bloating and settles the stomach. Formulas for classic gripe water include seeds of dill, caraway and anise, as well as baking soda and a small amount of alcohol. Nursing moms may want to drink dill tea to increase breast milk, and those women who have a late or scanty period can drink a cup or two to bring on a period.

Linden- Linden flower baths have been used for centuries to treat hyperactivity, insomnia and anxiety. It is said that linden flower baths can calm irritable or restless children too.

Meadowsweet- Meadowsweet is a specific for diarrhea in children, it's astringent action combined with nutritives makes it safe, mild, and effective.

Raspberry tea- An effective and safe remedy for children, raspberry tea is given to reduce fever and calm diarrhea. A good tonic herb with a rich supply of vitamins and minerals that help build strong bones and general good health. Generally considered safe, with no unwanted side effects.

Spearmint- Spearmint relieves gas and tummy troubles, much like peppermint, but its effects are less powerful, making it better suited for use in children.

Yarrow- Yarrow opens the pores freely and purifies the blood, and is recommended in the early stages of children's colds, and in measles and other eruptive diseases.
