"Fairly take and fairly give"

Today I set up my Ostara altar and I collected flowers from my yard to have on my altar. I told the Earth, "Thank you." for I feel that if you take from our Earth you should guve back to Her. I took the flowers inside and placed them in a jar of water on my altar. I went to my collection of crystals and picked out a piece of tree agate. I held the crystal in my hand and said something like this, "May the Earth be healed." I held the tree agate in my hand and visualized what I took from the earth growing back stronger. I placed the tree agate on my altar and it will remain whenever I take from the earth. What I'm saying is, it's okay to take from the earth as long as you don't go overboard, but always give back.
