Easy To Find Useful Herbs?

Hello all!

I was wondering what some really good Herbs that can be found in most kitchens are. At the moment I cannot go out and by some of the more extreme ones, or even less extreme, but still noticeable ones. So, what are some good herbs that are common for cooking, and what are their uses.

Caraway: Good for the stomach. Taste good with fennel and aniseed. Often found in tea as combination. You also can make a nice dish with caraway, fennel (the actual vegetable) and cabbage or potatoes. Carawy will also reduce the winds from cabbage and the like.

Rosmarin: This will help your blood flow. You can use them external for aching muscles prevention or to wake up. WIll make your mind clear.

Peppermint: Tastes nice in maroccian dishes. Helps against headaches and tummyaches (only small amounts). Makes your mind crystal clear.

And really just about everything you can use in the kitchen What do you have in your kitchen at the moment? My kitchen is used to exotic spices and herbs (at least wha't exotic in Germany, they are probably most common in other countries).

Lavender is a must it smells great and can be used in allll kinds of culinary and magical applications. If you have some amount of income you may be able to mail order essential oils (always dilute in a carrier oil!) I know tea tree can usually be found at drug stores (Walgreens for sure). Essential oils are easy to hide and have a myriad of practical mundane uses so if you're an undercover pagan there are loads of reasons you might have an essential oil, from cleaning purposes, culinary, beauty care (loads of recipes for shampoos and scrubs etc can use oils). Most oils are kind of pricey but you can find some for around $7-$10.

salt is an ingredient that when added to food it brings out the flavors, i believe that this "ability" is found in its magickal properties as well, most commonly salt is used to cleanse, protect and also as a symbol of wealth since in the old times salt was very precious. Also salt is favorite to all ocean gods and goddesses.
Honey is a very good ingredient for attraction spells, be that for love, wealth or whatever. Also it is a very strong ingredient for love spells, if you think about the bee queen and her so many male bees bringing her goods;) Also its a good offer for any deity.

I actually found a cool spell once involving honey. You get a jar of honey, a slip of paper, and a pen. Write on the paper someone you want to get closer to, like a friendship (NOT LOVE!). Now take the name and PLUNGE it into the honey jar. Let it go (let it stay in the jar), and when you pull your fingers out, suck off the honey. The spell is done!

Actually that spell Raven could be easily used for more than friendship, if you were to substitute the persons name with "luck" for example!
