Those are some sizable buggers. All so flourishing and alive. You probably baby them, dont you? lol
Great work... now I want my own stuff instead of just hundred foot rows of produce. *sigh*

Wow your garden looks amazing! i wish i was as good with plants as you! the only plant i've managed to look after was a Spiderplant, which decided to take over my entire windowsill, and i eventually had to put it downstairs and give it to my mum.
The other day i found a red onion in the veg box had a shoot and roots and i thought it looked pretty so i put it in pot with some compost and watered it... i'm not quite sure how much water or light it needs, so if anyone knows, pelase tell me :D It seemed to quite like it in the veg box, so it might be happy in me bedroom... :?

Hi there
I have never tried growing Onions from the bulb, but I have done so with Garlic, maybe it's the same maybe not. I will do some researching for you.

O.K from what I can gather, the only benefit of growing an Onion from Bulb is to produce Flowers which will then yeild Seeds, which you then will be able to Plant. Give the Plant plenty of water and fertilise once a week in summer, make sure it's not a nitrogen rich fertiliser.

Good luck and keep us posted, I'm curious to see how it goes.

Hedge;

Your garden is beautiful. I have to do a lot of planting in pots living in New Mexico (that dry soil doesn't hold water very well) and I have been pretty discouraged, having moved from Florida, where anything and everything will grow with little to no work. Your garden has inspired me. :)
