Re: What do you do when the gods have called you
I've found the gods to usually be a couple steps ahead of me already, so generally I just acknowledge out loud that I've done as asked. Sometimes I do a divination ritual to make sure I got the message right, or leave a favored beverage out for them and the local land wights to enjoy as a dual thank...

Re: Can cursing be considered tough love?
I agree with Yana, I can't see how cursing someone, in any form, can be considered a sign of love, tough or not. Tough love is limiting your kids computer time or telling them to buck up after they scrape their knee or removing all of the ice cream from the house even though it's your husband's favo...

Re: Suddenly seeing evil spirits?
I'm not an expert either, but is it possible that something had attached itself to the stone you used? If this entity hadn't shown up until you used the black tourmaline, it may not have been cleansed properly or not cleansed thoroughly enough. I would suggest cleansing your crystals just to be on t...

Aw, thank you, Xiao, I have actually, haha! I really enjoy horror and ghost stories, so it's something that I've thought about from time to time.

Whew, just catching up on posts made this weekend. Thank y'all for posting! It was definitely trippy!
I really think that was likely what it was, Seraphin. My gut says that's the case.

Re: An Intense and Unusual Experience in Charleston, SC
You know, not being there and not seeing what you saw and felt...I can't possibly add anything. What I do know is that there are some very curious energies and beings that don't fit in conventional descriptors. You make excellent points, Becks. It's very hard to make determinations without having g...

Re: An Intense and Unusual Experience in Charleston, SC
Thank you, Becks! :) As promised, here’s the second story pertaining to that gate, as told to my brother and myself by our guide. I can’t lay any claim to its veracity, but it struck me hard when our guide recounted it to us. I really would appreciate any input y’all might have, not necessarily rela...

Re: An Intense and Unusual Experience in Charleston, SC
There are a few versions of the stories I’m about to share with y’all out there that change details depending on who is telling the tale, but this is how they were told to me. The first one I grew up hearing, but the second was new to me. So, the first story: Charleston has always taken a great deal...

An Intense and Unusual Experience in Charleston, SC
Hey guys, As many of y'all know, I live pretty close to Charleston, SC. My youngest brother is going to school down there and we take fairly frequent trips as a family to go visit him since he hasn't been there very long. Yesterday, we made the trip and, looking for something fun for us siblings to ...

Re: Favorite Guided Meditations?
I really like this one. I initially used it to try and meet my spirit guide(s). While I haven't met any yet, I still like to use it when I'm having trouble meditating.

Re: Examples of calling the quarters
I still use the Wiccan method even though I've moved on to a more eclectic practice. Here's how I go about it: I set a candle in each corner of the room, color coordinated for the direction and element they represent. As I cast my circle, I call to each in turn, usually saying "I call on the Sp...

Re: Disposal of Remnants on Crossroads...
Focus your energy on sending the spell in a positive direction. That's all there is to it. As for the salt, I couldn't say if it's valid or not. Personally, I've never heard of it, but that doesn't make it wrong or mean that it wouldn't work. It just means that I've never come across it.

Re: Disposal of Remnants on Crossroads...
In all honesty, it depends on the witch you ask. Some will say that yes, you did it wrong, and others will likely tell you that you didn't do anything wrong at all. Without knowing the specifics of the spell you performed, it's even harder for someone to judge. What's more important, however, in spe...

Re: Do the type of stones matter?
I think it can depend on your personal associations with certain stones. The rune set I'm currently using is made from salt dough and it's probably the most accurate set I've had, and it resonates with me, partially because, I think, I handmade them. So in that sense, I don't think that the medium y...
