Wow I wish I saw that back in the spring when you posted it!

Irises are my personal favorite flower. I wonder if I can grow one like that.

I have a question for you. When you feel a craving, do you satisfy it with a basic chocolate bar (ie aero, snickers etc)? If you do then that is part of the problem. Common candy bars that you find in the grocery or convenienve store are actually only a small percentage of cocoa mass (the fats and s...

I have the Master Book of Herbalism by Paul Beryl. There is lots of great information in there for making infusions, decoctions, poultices, incence and more. He describes a lot of the more common and useful herbs (as there are over 800 he didn't feel he had time) in both a healing and magical manner...

A Taoist tradition I read about was that people made offerings to the gods to free their ancestors from the underworld. This was in part because the sins of our ancestors kept on piling up each generation and the petitioner wanted to cleanse the sins so as not to add to them. Now, the world is suppo...

Well, one thing that has been pointed out in several conversations I've had is that you can look at Jesus as being a great teacher rather than a God. After all, he was and he set a great example for people of every age. If you can take Jesus' teachings (ie helping strangers, forgiveness) and discard...

"These Devil Worshippers are a sect of Christianity, even though Christianity does not want to claim them." ------------ Lots of interesting stuff, though I would like to refute this above statement. Devil worshippers, Satanists, are in no way a 'part' of Christainity. Christainity is a faith of th...

When I look up or research things I put it in my computer files.

Once I've actually put together a ritual it goes into my book. Any personal experiences, quotes or specifically wiccan ideals (ie the Wiccan Rede) also go into my book.

I haven't developed my Book of Shadows yet, but I have a neat story regarding one. A family friend, a wiccan, is also a high ranking Freemason. I don't know what you know about Masons, since they are very secretive, but their ceremonies have a lot to do with God - that's what the big 'G' means, btw....

I'm not exactly sure I have familiars since I've only just starting doing any rituals, but they feel 'right'. Anyway, my familiars came to me rather than the other way around. Unfortunately, one is kind of 'borrowed'. 8 years ago, I wanted a kitten for my new apartment. A girl a worked with at the t...

Wicca and Satan? eep.

Ok, I have a question. I've only just begun any 'structured' training in Wicca, and one thing I was taught that I have always believed is that there is no Satan. The word satan originally means, literally, adversary, and the personifications most commonly associated with that name these days are the...

Wow, that's kind of neat.

Being someone who has yet to have a child, I don't know what feelings are normally experienced during this momentous occasion, but perhaps it was a connection of spirits? Maybe your child is special, or you will share a particularily special bond.

Just a guess.

I think any living creature can be a familiar. I don't know if you can actually have more than one, but my kitten, Tahl, and my snake, Annabelle, both seem to share the job :) As for spiders - btw I was arachnophobic until this past summer - they are masterful artisans and architects. They can be st...
