Re: Silver

Thank you both for responding. It really is too bad since i have also always preferred silver over gold since i was a child. I rejected all of the jewelry my father used to buy me. Once I was able to buy my own, well, you know the rest. But I sacrificed my body lol. I couldn't wear it a couple hour...

Re: Silver

I'm in the middle of reading Reversal & Protective Magic by Jason Miller. In it he mentioned to put a silver dime in your shoe. If someone used something like Hot Foot Powder or Goofer Dust, the dime turns black due to the sulphur in the ingredients. Of course this won't work if there's no sulph...

Re: How do you know if faeries are trying to contact you?

Hi By the term fairy, I don't know if you mean Fae or nature spirits. If you mean Fae, you might want to look up Morgan Daimler as she has a lot of experience with the Celtic fairy faith. She can be found online and also wrote a few books. If you mean fairy as nature spirits and others that aren't F...

Re: The Bubbling Cauldron revisited

The deck I used is Marseilles style and is called Alchemy 1977 England tarot. I think any tarot, or oracle, deck that speaks to you is fine to use. Yes, I meant black candles though I'd only use one during a reading. I can't think of anything to pull all of this together for a spell unless you invit...

Re: The Bubbling Cauldron revisited

When I invited the ancestors for the reading, I left it wide open for whoever felt like joining. I felt some of them added some insight via the cards. The reading was for the Celtic year. As for the spell, all I can think of is using a black candle. The time of day might be evening or anytime from O...

Re: The Bubbling Cauldron revisited

Last Samhain, I did a reading with a deck that specializes in connecting with ancestors. I know that's not a spell but how about something to connect with them since, traditionally speaking, the veil is thinnest during Samhain.

Re: Red Jasper infusion

Hi When it comes to making crystal elixirs, the direct method isn't suitable for all crystals for various reasons as I'm sure you already know. Thankfully, we can use indirect methods. Red jasper has iron oxide inclusions (which is why it's red) and I would assume that it's toxic. I prefer to err on...

Re: Making an altar table, advice.

I don't know what your budget is for the wood but here goes for an idea that might be helpful. Trees have different associations and energy. It's possible for a wood product to remain connected with the tree spirit, not only the tree it came from, but all the trees of that species. Off the top of my...

Re: The Bubbling Cauldron revisited

Oh, a quick add on. For those of you who know herbs, you can steep a herb until the cup is cool to the touch. Mix it in equal portions (1:1) with the crystal elixir. I'm not too terribly familiar with herbs so I'll leave that part for another witch.

Re: The Bubbling Cauldron revisited

For communication over the net which uses writing. I would begin with choosing a crystal to make an elixir with any of the following for communicating by speaking and writing: aqua aura, blue lace agate, blue topaz, chalcanthite, indicolite, tanzanite OR turquoise. Mookaite helps to improve communic...

If you're looking for timing communication, be sure that Mercury is not in retrograde.
