Re: Limitations of magik
This question relies heavily on how you define magic and, in effect, how you define reality. Unfortunately, it’s not something I’m going to discuss at length with someone who’s not initiated (or whose training I can't account for) but, luckily, Seraphin’s a lot more forthcoming than I am: Your mind ...

Re: Am I Cursed? A Checklist for Testing Possible Maleficium
Yep... Your rainbows and ponies and care bears now... You had better have some serious weapon... pail of panic, mop of violence, broom of death or anything that sounds more hellish than Hades! You forgot my Pencilcase of Penitence. It contains the Ruler of Rage, Eraser of Agony, Sharpener of ...

Not to me.Seraphin Murmur wrote:I'm so happy this little... well, I mean long-winded post is being so helpful.
You do realise that you're blunting my nefarious deeds with this? I shall not forgive you quickly, sir.

Re: How do you when you're ready to do readings for others
Personally, I've only found the Tarot to be successful when you're divining on behalf of yourself. Doing readings for other people is fraught with challenges, to the point where I don't recommend doing it at all . But Falcon Heart is right. Common sense would dictate that if you wanted to do reading...

Re: Variations of Wicca?
Hi. :) First of all, can I invite you to pop up to the introduction forum and say hello? It just gives the community a chance to know you better. Secondly, if you want to practice solitary, then you can still be Wiccan. Absolutely. Raymond Buckland, the man responsible for spreading Wicca throughout...

Erm...
Aye, I misunderstood your response. Again, I wish the written word could be more communicative.

Re: Virtual covens.
Thanks, Becks. :) I'm sorry it turned out to be complicated, it sounds like the experience was inspirational. Would you mind if I PM'd you a few pointed questions about the group? Also, the fact that we've seen only one response implies that virtual covens just aren't hugely popular or, indeed, huge...

Yup. Vesca was quite right, it's a fair correction; one I'm going to amend in the post concerned.Becks wrote:I agree with Vesca, and I think that maybe Imperious was meaning strictly biological terms. In the classical sense of understanding....Xx and xy and the like.

Virtual covens.
Essentially, I'm curious whether or not anyone has ever been a member of a virtual coven and, if so, what their experiences were like. I'm busy constructing a project from my own grimoire, a project that's largely been influenced by my decision to initiate a friend of mine. I was originally writing ...

Re: Am I Cursed? A Checklist for Testing Possible Maleficium
No probs, bud. Don't take my criticism as... Well, criticism! I thought your opening post was excellent. I've just spent a lot of time with psychic vampires, studying the phenomena and its practitioners, and feel that a one-liner is probably doing the topic a disservice. It's my bias that's at play ...

Re: Am I Cursed? A Checklist for Testing Possible Maleficium
You think it should be separated from the psychic attacks category? Well... Aye. As someone who practices malefic magic, I always consider psychic vampirism a very different thing; it's not part of my grimoire. It is technically a psychic attack, but the reason I don't consider it a hex or curse, s...

Re: Am I Cursed? A Checklist for Testing Possible Maleficium
I mentioned it on the Isolated Psychic Attacks... together with the evil eye, evil tongue, etc. That's why I brought it up, my good man; it's almost a topic all on its own, and isn't really a traditional hex or curse. Hell, deliberate psychic vampirism even has organisations or groups dedicated to ...
