Re: Spell Parallel Universe

All of your other posts have basically been about this same topic. Trying to make your ideal world. Trying to time travel back to correct some things that happened before, making a more ideal world for you. Now making a parallel universe to have a more idea life. I'm sorry, but harsh truth is that i...

Re: Karma?

I don't believe in karma in either the eastern, next life, sense, or the western, this life, sense. It seems to me that karma in this life is easy enough to disprove. How many good people do you know that suffer? How many bad people get away with plenty of things they shouldn't? Don't get me wrong, ...

Re: Time Travel Spell

There's no going back. Once something's out there, it's out there. We can only learn from our mistakes to prevent repeating them. Learning from our mistakes, learning to be okay with moving forward, learning to be okay with the past, it's all part of life. Maybe you can contact these people and make...

Re: Playing Cards

Yeah, they're the only cards I really use anymore. Had a lot of trouble finding a tarot deck that had imagery that really resonated with me... so, just figured why not get rid of the images, lol. They are very similar to tarot cards in how you would use and read them, but without the major arcana. Y...

Re: salt cleansing method

In my experience? There's not much of a difference. Chemically speaking, sea salt and table salt are the same thing, sodium chloride. Sea salt is of course made from evaporated sea water, and it's often a bit less processed, so you might find some benefit in that - more so if you're doing a working ...

Re: saliva and others...

For example, if I am ever thinking of doing a honey jar spell... For a honey jar spell affecting another person, it would be more traditional to add a personal concern of theirs , rather than one of your own. Aside from things like spit, hair, and nail clippings, etc, that might also include someth...

Re: Hecate - some questions

Thank you very much for this. Is she similar to the Mother Goddess? I know the Goddess is often portrayed as the maiden, the mother, and the crone. Just seemed similar to how Hekate is portrayed as the three women sometimes and is related to the moon. The maiden-mother-crone triad is rather modern,...

Re: Hecate - some questions

If you want to do some reading about Hekate, I would suggest starting with this site, if you haven't already come across it: http://www.theoi.com/Khthonios/Hekate.html It's pretty much the best introduction out there to her, from a historical point of view. If you want a larger range of material fro...

Re: Gaia offerings question

If you're looking for more traditional offerings, the Orphic hymns suggest offering aromatic herbs as incense - so things like thyme, culinary sage, lavender, mugwort, bay leaves, chamomile, mint, and coriander. Burned grains (but not beans, apparently), would also have been offered. Any grains are ...

Don't really go in for archetypes in my practice, though. Not in that sense, anyway.

Re: Help me rhyme? (Updating a book blessing.)

Thanks for the ideas, all. :D I really like this incantation. The original author is Jack Veasey?. Yep. Should have made that a bit clearer, I didn't write the original, pulled it out of a book many, many years ago, where it was in the beginning as a blessing! (Think something of RavenWolf. Was one ...

Help me rhyme? (Updating a book blessing.)

This might be a bit of a strange request - hope I stuck it in the right forum... I've been using the same book blessing in my grimoires/journals/etc. since the start of my practice many years ago, but it could use a bit of an update at this point. It begins with... Hearken as the Witch's Word calls ...

Re: My Pantheon - Is anything missing?

Using the term blood moon to describe an eclipse seems to have come into popular use fairly recently. I can't quite follow exactly how, but it seems to have originated from some book about biblical prophecy published a while back? Actually had to do with a tetrad of eclicpes, but it got misunderstoo...

Re: Bird owners i have a question

Well, you really don't. Even unscented candles still give off smoke, which it's generally recommended to avoid. Anything with a strong scent, like a diffuser, is also out. No wax melts. No heating essential oils. No sage or other smudge bundles. Although, it seems boiling herbs (like rosemary) in wa...
