Re: Why is it easier for me to read for other people?

It will basically boil down to whether or not you are able to take in what the cards are telling you. If some part of you doesn't want to know, or is affraid to know, then you won't be able to read for yourself, even if you can read just fine for someone else. Try to take yourself out of it when you...

Re: tarot deaks

Do you have any other decks that you can read better? Or are you just getting into reading cards? Also, what do you find to be giving you trouble?

Re: Silly Question?

Healing is an obvious exception. And I see your point with the money. Would it be put better if I said it deals more to a balance scale metaphor. Say I do a spell to help me get a job. If I use magick to give me an advantage and I get the job, that means someone else who applied doesn't, probably so...

Re: Silly Question?

The technical definition of Wicca is a religion centered around witchcraft, that was founded by Gerald Gardner. Wicca is an initiatory mystery religion, and to call yourself "Wicca" implies that you can trace an initiatory lineage back to the New Forest Coven. This doesn't mean that you ha...

Re: Silly Question?

Very good point, Starwitch. But not everyone that isn't Wiccan but is a witch is like that. I'm actually Irish Traditional. I still believe in the Law of Threefold return, though. The concept is based on the Law of Attraction, which is a fundamental of magick. Yet that doesn't make me Wiccan. I also...

Re: Silly Question?

Likewise there is a debate on whether or not Wicca actually is Othopraxic. In essence it doesn't really matter. As we can't dictate an entire religion, nor how you should follow it, only the original deity/ies of a religion has such a right. And as far as we know, there never was a deity/ies, and e...

Re: Silly Question?

You're a little off. Wicca is a religion, not a spirituality. There is a difference. You do need magick to be Wiccan. Even the act of erecting the temple involves magick. This is why Wicca is a witchcraft religion. It's entirely debatable actually. If Wicca IS a Religion, then it is purely open to ...

Re: Silly Question?

Wicca is a religious belief system, as much as anything else, really. Many Wiccans perform magick, but you don't have to perform magick to believe in what Wiccans believe in. It's not required to do anything, and if you believe that magick should only be done in the direst of circumstances, and the...

Re: Silly Question?

Wicca is a witchcraft religion, as is Stregheria. Wicca has its origins in British Traditional Witchcraft (not to be confused with British Traditional Wicca) and the Order of the Golden Dawn. The Order was an occult group that pretty much gave form to and defined modern occultism and magick. A famou...

Re: familiars

A witch's familiar isn't native to paganism. It originated during the Burning Times. To have a pet, such as a cat, was at the time considered a strange practice. And there was a high amount of sexism back then too against women. So imagine that you have this old widow who's only companion is a cat. ...

Re: Tarot Yes or No?

How do you properly shuffle a tarot deck? It ultimately depends on how you want to read the cards. Like, if you want to include reverse readings, you would probably bridge shuffle. But there isn't a specific way to shuffle your deck. I've seen many people shuffle their decks all different ways. Jus...

Re: What is Magick used for?

Disclaimer: This post was written for Wiccan newcommers. I recognize that not everyone here is Wiccan. It is often that a seeker of the Craft comes looking to jump head first into the art of magick and casting spells. While this may be tempting, there are many things that must be considered before o...

Re: Mistreated Child

It deals in the threefold return, which is based on the Law of Attraction. How it works with magick is that the energy you send out originates within you (and this applies to sending out energy by any means, not just magick) and so has a stronger "charge" on you. This charge will, by the L...

The second site I'm a bit skeptical of their practice as I feel they over exaggerate, but the theory is solid.
