Re: Bubbling Cauldron: Monthly Spellcrafting Activity

Hi I was wondering if I could join in this month? I felt led here today for some reason and it seems like the perfect spell for me. I consider myself an apprentice kitchen witch and love the idea of food magic. I'm trying to learn all I can. I love crafting with herbs and crystals, that is my path. ...

Re: Essential herbs to keep on hand

Yes! I plan on adding lavender, thyme, rosemary, camomile, and a few others. I'm just hoping that they will grow ok here in SC. I know you said about sandy soil for some of them, I guess I will have to make a special raised bed for them. I have white clay all around my house. We had a big veggie gar...

Re: Sage smudging

I did do google searches and I found conflicting information. That's why I was asking hoping someone had experience with it. I commented again because It was way down on the post page that I wasn't sure if people would see it. I'm sorry if I overstepped :-/

Sage smudging

I have been researching how to make smudges from the sage in my garden and I found out that there are several different types of sage. Some sources say that common garden sage (salvia officinalis) can't be used for smudging because it might be toxic that white sage (salvia apiana) is what should be ...

Re: list of herbs and uses

Wonderful list! As I am learning about herbal healing and uses, this list is a great compilation. I particularly love the different way they are listed, first the herbs themselves then by purpose. Thank you so much!

Re: Preferred Way to Burn Incense?

Thank you Holdasown, I don't have much in the way of supply shops where I am or a metaphysical shop. I get my stuff at hobby stores. I have never seen those charcoal discs.

Re: Essential herbs to keep on hand

Wow thanks :) The ones I have are the little bushy ones that have tiny yellow and orange flowers. They are the "lemon" and "tangerine" varieties. They are not the ones with big round flowers. Are they still useful if they are a different type? I am very interested in learning her...
