My grandma tried to teach me crochet. I never caught on. She used to crochet various things and tat doilies. That was back in the day when every proper household had doilies on the nice tables to protect them. I like the idea of crocheted compression bandages.

It makes complete sense to me, though I hadn't encountered the idea before now. It would be a different way of focusing your energy and intent, and if you think about it, knitting needles and crochet hooks are not that different from an athame or wand. My policy is not to do a spell on someone's behalf without their knowledge and permission. You might try a negativity banishing spell for yourself, since you have a sincere connection to him. Sometimes a spell done for one's self ripples out and makes a difference for another.

I can only tell you that in my own expeience, I have felt myself becoming more feline over the past few years. I've had the expeience of looking in the mirror and seeing a cat face overlaying my features.
I seem to have missed out on being blessed with feline grace though.
