Re: Disaster Preparedness, I Need What?

Thanks for the advice, I'll get one contact taser, then. I know it's best to give the money and I wouldn't be so concerned if they took it once. It's just that they could learn to do it regularly if I give up easily. They know I go the same way everyday. If anyone attacks me it would be planned in a...

Re: Disaster Preparedness, I Need What?

I thought about self defense some time ago. While I live in an area where something like robbery happens maybe once in a couple of years I'm an ideal victim. I carry all the money from the shop in the evening and I walk alone after dark while being only 150cm (5 feet?) tall. Fortunately I live some ...

Re: Disaster Preparedness, I Need What?

Perhaps that's what individual soldiers believe.
However, since weapons are one of the best tools for economic growth, there will always be countries that will find any pretext to invade others. And they will call killing innocent civilians humanitarian bombing and collateral damage.

Re: Disaster Preparedness, I Need What?

I'm now encouraged to get those few inevitable items. I'm always the caring and healing one. And surprisingly, I was able to react fast and effective in those few "critical" situations that I encountered (except for the little boy with seizure that I wrote about here). I always felt the ne...

Re: Disaster Preparedness, I Need What?

I really like that xiao. This thread is so inspiring. I think I'm going to at least store some water and cans at home and start carrying a swiss knife and a small first aid kit. Luckily I live in a very calm area with low risk of either violence or natural disaster. I don't even have a car. But as y...

Re: Disaster Preparedness, I Need What?

It's good to review first aid from time to time. There's also an app for smartphone which shows you everything step by step in case you forget in in stress. I've heard about a woman who carries gloves and a protective cloth (sorry can't find the proper word) for resuscitation ALL the time. She's got...

Re: The San Luis Valley

Good that you don't feel guilt anymore. It's not good or healthy to talk about negative entities all the time but it's very important to remind ourselves from time to time. One should not take spirituality lightly. The deeper you dive, the greater the risk. Especially if one is mentally unstable/vul...

Re: The San Luis Valley

The way you wrote this suggests that you feel guilty and haven't processed it fully. But you need to know one thing : IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT. Evil spirits are real and they attack good people. It is a real and serious thing. Your friend was vulnerable and they used her as soon as they got the chance. ...

Re: Darkness of the human soul

How can one learn to accept their dark side and use it constructively? It's a great theory but how do you do it in practice? Two nights ago I did centering and I acknowledged all my bad characteristics and habits. I also thought about people I don't like and analysed if I have those faults. It was q...

Re: How do I talk to trees?

It's important to calm down. Don't rush. Just stand near the tree and pay attention only to it and natural surroundings such as the sky, sun, grass, birds...It's good to do this somewhere with minimal human activity. Simply BE there. Breath deeply and try not to think about everyday stuff. For me, i...

Re: HELP - I NEED YOUR INPUT

I watch TV news about once a week, sometimes not even that. I watched now because of French elections. I get 90% of news from FB. I usually don't read the whole thing, just the title and that's enough for me. Sometimes I get into political mood if something that I consider important happens. Then I ...

Re: HELP - I NEED YOUR INPUT

These are very interesting thoughts. I definitely agree that there's negative news overload. I too suffer from it. One shouldn't watch them 24/7 and less you watch the better you feel. However I have a question. How long do you recommend staying out of it. 24hrs is sure absolutely OK. But what after...
