Jade is great for prosperity/money/good luck. Also can be used for healing the heart when working with the Heart Chakra

Amber is great for protection and would also be great for working with the Solar Plexus Chakra which is your center of personal power.

I would also suggest looking at healing deities.

Apollo for instance was very active and also working with healing energies.

I think of very light and refreshing oils to boost energy. So for me its oils like eucalyptus, orange, grapefruit, tangerine, tea tree etc.

In fact I use grapefruit a lot when I feel I need a boost of energy for the day.

I feel a strong closeness to the Lady Moon so I work mostly with the moon phases when I can. But its not absolutely necessary to do so. To me working with the moon phases just adds that extra ommph to your spell/ritual. The moon is a very powerful energy, so I use it as a booster to my spells.

I think when most people initiate themselves or into a coven they take a new name that represents the magical side of their lives. Its not necessary, just a personal decision or choice. Especially since so many people are still in the broom closet.

You can draw power from so many sources. And as mentioned the most powerful source is your intention, will and desire.

Sounds like sigil magick. It can be very powerful if you are using the right symbol for your desired intent. As well as really putting your energy into your intention to create your desired outcome.
