Re: Vegetable Garden
can you put up a chain link fence? this might also keep out the bunnies, but the deer will hop over. Can you talk to the kids? perhaps offering them some of the bounty when it comes to fruition, would be some incentive for them to be good. Also ask them to help weed or other chores that are garden r...

Re: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE answer!!
I painted a couple of stones once for a portable Altar, one was the Sun (God) and one was the Moon (Goddess). but in my circle now, we use a horn to represent Crennunos and an owl feather to represent Cerridwen. You could also get little statues. One of my favorite symbols at harvest time is the cor...

Re: Psychic ability?
writing to manifest wishes is a age old magical practice. I wouldn't say it is psychic exactly. Unless this writing is automatic, and you are simply the vessel that holds the writing tool, and the words are flowing out on to the paper without ANY thought on your part. To make something you would lik...

Re: Ether Covening- spellworking with people who aren't near
Like Ravencry was saying, make a point of starting at the same time, taking time zones into consideration. We would take a moment to gaze upon to moon and visualize who is with us, cast circle as usual, (taking careful mental note of subtle changes and shifts) then use...lets say, a blue candle for ...

Re: Ether Covening- spellworking with people who aren't near
very cool Ravencry, my group too is scatterd about, and we have done this for many rituals (hehehe the Ethernet!) we used to call it astral circle. One time everyone called the covenstead as the rite was preformed. But doing the rite, at a certain time, then comparing notes the next day was pretty i...

Re: Ritual Robes
hey all, Totally a personal preference. I go out to the woods allot, and a particular hill in the darkest depths of night, and if I didn't have a robe, I would freeze my butt off! I also agree with Alannah, wear something that enhances the working or the Holiday. Be festive! you will be surprised ho...

Re: Tokens of gratitude to mother earth?
We used to make little Goddesses out of clay, (unfired) ...we called them "give away Goddess" because they were meant for offerings (and spells that were meant to take time), they work their magic as they slowly melt into the earth. They were perfect for offerings because they did biodegra...

Re: Totem animal question..
I too, had a black footed ferret, who was my familiar. I don't think your totem and your element have to correspond, they are not interrelated. You can have more than one totem and they do not have to be of this physical world, (ie. dragon). Your totem is an entity that helps you in this life path. ...

Re: Safe hallucinogens
the herbs Ravencry suggests are the spot on for "mild" alterations, you aint gonna see any colors or anything, but the mugwort is the best in moderate amounts (like tea) (it is terribly terribly bitter though) Mugwort essential oil is my favorite for an instant "eye opener" a spo...

The Real Meaning of Wicca
Hi ya'll After quite a bit of research, this is what our group determined about 17 years ago.... The whole idea of Wicca got a little too fluffy feeling with all the SilverRavenWolf kinds of authors. (sorry... no offense to fans of hers) I believe the word has been misunderstood. It's true that Wicc...
