I like the spell you have posted for erasing painful memories. I hope it works out for you; I may try it myself. I will personally add in some more meditation exercises in regards to reliving the memory and letting it go mentally. At the moment I am seeing myself projecting the memory into a pool o...
He's definitely one of the more fascinating and powerful Norse gods, and has a strong connection with the Goddess I have a special devotion to, Saga. Are you a writer? I don't hear too many who are devoted to her. I love to hear when people work with gods that aren't the "main" ones if that makes s...
Hello and welcome to the forum, Seidkonacat! It's nice to meet somebody who knows Saga; although I do not worship any particular goddesses or gods, my work as a storyteller makes me feel really connected to her 'field' :) Hello to you too! I think I can understand that. There's a reason her name is...
This is a great spell, thank you for posting it. I might incorporate this into a grief ritual i'm planning in the near future. I mean, if you don't mind that. This very beautifully written.
About a month ago, I lost someone very dear to me, and I think I might incorporate this into part of my planned grief ritual, if that's ok with you. Thank you for posting it.
I work with Odin occasionally, though he's not the principal deity I'm devoted to. He is the god of knowledge and travelers, among other things, and I love both of those things, so I definitely respect him and will offer occasional offerings or do a blot to him. I know a lot of people, both men and ...
:fairy: It's very nice to meet you too, Seidonacat. Look forward to seeing you on the boards, Welcome. :flyingwitch: Thank you very much! This place seems very open-minded, unlike other pagan forums I've tried to be a part of (I won't name names because I don't like drama). I think I'm going to lik...
I can't speak for Aphrodite personally, but I offer regular offerings to Freya, a Norse love Goddess. The two have some similarities. Freya loves offerings of chocolate and flowers. Perhaps you might try that? In my experience, gods and goddesses react favorably to heartfelt offerings.
I had never even heard of Saga before now. What myths and lore about her have you found? Sadly, not many. She is a lesser-known Norse goddess. In the poetic Edda (Henry Bellows translation) a stanza says, when the halls in Asgard are being listed, Sökkvabekk is the fourth, where cool waves flow, An...
I agree with the above posters that you don't necessarily choose a God or Goddess, they choose you. However, don't let that stop you from looking! Read up on mythology of various cultures and wait for something to "pull" at you. The first "pull" might not be the right one.I spent 6 months trying to ...
Hey everyone! Just thought I'd start a post about a goddess to whom I have a special devotion to--Saga. She's a Norse/Germanic Goddess and a mysterious figure. According to some sources, She ranks just below Frigg, the female ruler of Asgard and Odin's consort. Others say she is just an aspect of Fr...
Hi, I'm Seidkonacat (but just Cat or Konacat is fine--it usually ends up being shortened on forums). I'm mainly a pagan who works with the Norse tradition, and have been dabbling in various traditions and practices for the past 5 years. My special devotion is to the Norse goddess Saga. If I had to i...
