I suppose it all depends on the purpose of your spell and the purpose the brown candle was going to take. I have nothing against substitution and I do it a lot. I think it should be okay but it never hurts to double check.

Sounds like a wonderful day to be able to do that. I wouldn't be able to meditate in that, I'd suddenly turn into a kid and start throwing snowballs at people.

Sorry, that's what I meant. Forget about the water, I meant floating (it's amazing how having a T.V., music, and a ton of other things on in the background can mess up your writing).
