And I'm one of those few people on whom valerian has exact opposite effect! I tried the extract few times and I get extra-hyper!

I have not been on this forum in ages, it seems! I'm very glad to find an environmentalism topic, but I'm dismayed by the number of posts! I would think that people who are spiritual and/or pagan would take more interest in preserving our Mother. At some point personal development expands into aware...

I think the link is no longer working... All I got was a bunch of advertisement. Alternative energy is all good, but only if we are not replacing one evil with another. Like using corn-based fuel, and that skyrocketed the price of corn for people who rely on it as a main source of food.

I agree with Ravenari, there is no one "right" way to pick the cards. My cards were given to me by a friend, I didn't choose them. That happened just because he already had them, but felt weirded out using them. When I started saying that maybe I should get a deck, he just gave them to me....

I think that when people talk about their spiritual believes things can get pretty heated if you are not careful. When you say "Why does it have to be this way?", people who believe in "this way" can get offended. It's funny, but in that creation story that I posted, the Moon is ...

That is too bad that so few people chose to attend the class. I think 12th grade is very late to have this conversation. Aren't you 18 when you are in 12th grade? I already had a child by that age... Anyway, I think it's great that you keep your options open. I think it will make your life easier if...

Books are usually better than the movies. Scifi channel completely butchered my very favorite series by LeGuin, it was so moronic. The series name is Earthsea. You can look it up on Amazon. I will give the books a try and see if I like it. I'm in a middle of another series, The Sword of Truth by Ter...

I am planning to watch the movie soon, I haven't read the book. Have you seen the movie and was it any good?

Thank you for the link, it was very informative. I don't know why I didn't think to look it up. I can see how it can be overly self-centered. Now I know why people on this forum don't like the term New Age. I have met people like this, the ones that are overly "out there", and so happy and...

Maybe I should read the whole thing before commenting  Oh, well... In any case, article aside, I thought the whole point of spiritual awakening is to let go of the ego? I don't really know what a new-ager is, so please forgive me if I am totally off the mark.

Yea, here is a funny thing... you can't ask someone not to do something that they want. It's just not going to work. You can certainly ask, and maybe for a period of time the person will stop, but you can't forcefully change a person. The change (to stop drinking/drugs) has to come from within. As f...

Hmm, juliaki, what exactly do you see wrong with it to the point that you can just call it crap? Elem, I do understand you scepticism, and sometimes the very fluffy language turns me off on things like that, but then I think people need to read beyond the fluffy words and grasp the concept, idea of ...

I don't really think it's built into our bodies. I think it's built into our minds and enforced by society. I think that reproduction is something that can be governed by our minds, so we don't have to be controlled by our bodies. Otherwise, it's like saying that cheating is built into our bodies to...
