Talking to friends is always a good way to get things out of your system. Time is the only true way of being able to move on, but in the meantime talking things over with friends and busying yourself so you don't have too much time to reflect and mull things over also helps.

As a general rule, Scott Cunningham's books are a good starting point for anyone new to the path. He has received many good reviews for his material. Always manages to make things simple and straightforward without being condescending and childish.

Usually burn sage and pass the items through its smoke or I use a pre-prepared cleansing ritual incense, which also contains some sage.

I bought a rown twisted athame which has an amethyst crystal on the end. The wood has been seperated and twisted with gaps between it. It is a lovely colour and a perfect size.
