Where to learn about Lithuanian paganism?

One aspect of my "heritage" as a witch that I'm proud of is my Lithuanian ancestry, which was one of the last countries in Europe to convert to Christianity. I'd love to learn more about the pagan practices and beliefs of my ancestors, however, I'm not sure where to start, and was wonderin...

Help with interpreting the Nine of Pentacles outside of wealth?

In the past did a tarot reading with Faunus, A Roman deity I work with. I was doing the reading to ask him some questions about our relationship and how he perceives it. The only card I got that stumped me was the Nine of Pentacles when I asked him what he liked about me. I got the card again recent...

Re: Is it disrespectful to think Persephone would help me overcome trauma?

Thank you for your response. That's comforting to know someone else has seen in her what I have, thank you for sharing. I will definitely read your post :) I haven't heard that variation on the myth. That actually is a much more comforting idea, that Persephone chose to be with Hades and simply tol...

Thank you for your response.

Yes, I agree, Persephone to me is definitely symbolic of survival, if the story of her being tricked into staying with Hades is the real version. That's one of the main ideas behind why I feel so drawn to her. Thank you for your input.

Re: Is it disrespectful to think Persephone would help me overcome trauma?

Thank you very much for your response. I also think it would be difficult to offend her, I just have a tendency to project how I would feel in a situation onto deities, haha. What you've explained makes a lot of sense. The more I've meditated on my question, the more I think Persephone would unders...

Is it disrespectful to think Persephone would help me overcome trauma?

Without going into too much detail, I've had some trauma regarding a man in my past. I've recently begun to try and address that, and within the past few months reading a book of mythology I reread the story of Persephone and Hades. I started to feel a strong connection to Persephone as a deity that...

Is casting a spell that does harm to none really possible?

Before you get the idea that I'm under the impression witchcraft is evil, let me explain. With some exceptions, I believe in the law of determinism. Everything that happens in any person's given life is a result of everything that has led up to their life circumstances being that way. Essentially, i...

Re: Anyone work with the Virgin Mary as goddess?

I was raised a Mormon but I always felt a connection to Mary despite her not being revered the way she is in Catholicism. Maybe it's just the feeling of comfort seeing a woman represented as a holy figure in a Christian religion having grown up in such a patriarchal religion. I get a very similar en...

Spell to help a depressed friend?

I'm sorry if this is inappropriate at all. If it is, please take it down. I have a friend I met through a mental health forum. They messaged me today saying they just got out of the hospital after attempting suicide. I'm so grateful they're still here but I know their depression isn't going to just ...

Re: Ritual for a loved one you didn't get to say goodbye to?

The issue is I don't know much about spirit work and what would be a good and respectful way to do so, and I've never really heard of anyone doing a ritual like that. I think the maths behind this science is that you raise energy to call a soul, create a tunnel or portal so that the journey feels c...

I found this ritual, hope it is along the lines of what you need. https://everythingunderthemoon.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=136275#p136275 I looked for a death rite specifically and there wasn't one, Huh... can you believe that! We better get on that one. :fairy: I'm sorry you are missing your grand...

Hello!

Hi, just here to introduce myself! I've been interested in witchcraft my whole life, but it didn't occur to me it was a real religious practice until I learned about Wicca when I was fourteen, and I've been bouncing between identifying with my original religion of christianity, to atheism, then to w...

I keep getting the devil card in a positive context. Help with interpretation?

Twice in a row in recent tarot readings I've gotten the devil card in places in tarot spreads that indicate something positive. It first happened doing a two card spread about creativity. I got the four of cups as what was holding my creativity back and the devil as what would progress it. Just a co...

Ritual for a loved one you didn't get to say goodbye to?

Five years ago my paternal grandfather passed away from lung cancer. After my grandpa realized he was dying, my dad only took me to see him once, so I didn't get much time with him before he passed. When I was told by my dad that he in the hospital and make not make it, while I was on the way to the...
