Moon phase vs. day of the week for spell casting?

Hi beautiful Wiccan folk. Wondering which is a more important consideration when planning the timing of a spell—best moon phase vs. best day of the week. Say for a love spell, Friday is best, but if Friday falls on a new moon, is it best to wait for a Friday in a more favorable moon phase? Or a dark...

Using Switchwords

Hello beautiful Wiccan folk. I’ve read about using switchwords, and am curious: after you have written down a switchword to use for a day, what do you do with the paper you wrote it on after the day is over?

Re: The difference between a Love spell and a “Binding” spel

Bindings are always cord or knot spells, thus the name. Ah, thank you. I’ve also read that a “binding” spell has the same effect in the spell-caster as it does innthevtarget. That it binds both ways. That would suggest that the spell-caster’s Free will would also be impacted by casting the spell. I...

Re: The difference between a Love spell and a “Binding” spel

The difference between a Love spell and a “Binding” spell?

Can someone clarify the difference between a Love spell and a “Binding” spell? I understand they are both considered unethical since they can overrule someone’s free will, but how would you describe the difference?

Re: Moon eclipse?

Sigh. It clouded over again and started pouring. No visibility after it was almost halfway eclipsed.

Re: Moon eclipse?

Ok, thanks. I didn't know if there was a generally accepted definition of the waxing and waning in an eclipse context.

SnowCat, that too. We should have a good view where I am. Unless it’s too clouded over.

Re: Moon eclipse?

Ah, interesting. Thank you. I had thought that when the moon was coming out of its totality, it was like a short, powerful waxing phase. But actually when it’s heading towards its eclipse, then THAT is the waxing phase in the eclipse context? And coming out of its eclipse is waning?
