Re: Other grad students here?

Thanks! Apparently I've been so stressed that I get nauseous every time I even think about work. Everything is just so hard and exhausting. What do you study? What university do you go to?

Other grad students here?

Just curious... are there any other grad students on here? I could use a few people to commiserate with. Grad school is kicking my butt. The stress is making me sick and I don't at all feel qualified to do anything anymore. I wasn't even good at my bike shop job back in high school. I just feel like...

Re: Traditional Lefse/ Holiday Food

I did find a recipe once that used instant potato flakes. It eliminates the potato ricing process which isn't necessarily hard but tends to be tedious. Not the best lefse I've ever had but for a poor graduate student far from my homeland it did the trick. Also used a pancake grittle and a butter kni...

Re: Traditional Lefse/ Holiday Food

I'm so happy to finally meet someone who knows about lefse! I love lefse. I'm still looking for a good, quick and easy recipe. This Winter Holiday time of year was always a food fest. Treats you wouldn't make or see at other times of the year are in full abundance everywhere you go. Cookies are usua...

Feel a cold coming on...

My roommates call this recipe "witch tea" because it instantly cures colds. Little do they know I put a small blessing on each cup. Tonight I felt a cold coming on so I made some more. I've found that the start of any school year brings a whole new mixture of germs and I always get sick. F...

Re: Hecate - some questions

Thank you very much for this. Is she similar to the Mother Goddess? I know the Goddess is often portrayed as the maiden, the mother, and the crone. Just seemed similar to how Hekate is portrayed as the three women sometimes and is related to the moon. Also, I know she is often seen as a dog and rela...

Hecate - some questions

Mainly I'm wondering who Hecate is and how she usually reveals herself. Has anyone here interacted with her before? What were your experiences? Why did she come to you? Share all your adventures please!

Blessings,

Re: Spell for Stress Relief?

Grad student here so I know a thing or two about stress... I've found meditating in a lake works but if you don't have a lake handy a bathtub with Epsom salts, cedarwood oil, orange oil, and tea tree oil can work just as well. It's usually cleaner too.

Re: Working in water/finding one's element

Thanks for your input. I didn't know that water enhanced psychic abilities. I'll have to think more on the elements. I've always seen the energy and magic inside of me as a blue or copper flame. I always joke that I'm solar powered since I am always super happy and energetic when its sunny and as so...

Working in water/finding one's element

This evening I decided to take advantage of my overly large tub to do some work. Lit some candles, entered a meditative state, the usual. I'm quite gifted at looking into people and approaching their souls (I can do a lot of healing this way), but usually its easiest when I'm near them. I'm less acc...

Pulse

Dear brothers and sisters and everyone in between, I write to you all as someone who calls Orlando home. Today marks the 2 year anniversary of the tragic shooting at the Pulse night club. For those who do not live in the area, Orlando seems to go quiet on this day even without it being mentioned. Cy...

In that case I think I would like to stop getting older please. I turn 25 in July and that's old enough, thank you very much.

Thanks... honestly me too. The food poisoning is gone but the foot is still healing and it's bumming me out that I can't go out and run and swim and walk without a limp.

Re: Help I am miserable.

Thank you everyone for your kindness. I seem better today. I expelled some extra demons and got lots of sleep. My foot hole seems to be slightly more healed (heeled, rather hehehe) than it was yesterday which is a start. Apparently something must be going right.

Blessings, all.

Help I am miserable.

I think I'm dying. Actually, I'm not. I'm just being overdramatic. But it feels like I'm dying. Thursday I had a massive wart removed from my foot. So basically now I have s massive hole in my foot that needs to heal. It hurts so much and is so nasty looking. I hate wounds so much. Then on Friday I ...
