I found it really effective the first time but trickier last night. That said, last night's message was pretty clear in retrospect... you're grasping at answers, just wash this time.
Bullamancy does sound rather like something unpleasant you'd do to someone

Re: Divination by bubblebath?
Looks like bubble in Latin is bulla, so would most likely be bullamancy? That's entirely less fun to say though

Re: Divination by bubblebath?
We'll have to find a name for it... bubbliomancy?

Re: Magical Oils: Formulas and Advice
Oooh I've never thought to use my slow cooker for infusing oils... excellent idea Mystie.Graves! My bain marie has started leaking water when I pour, so will definitely be trying this.

Re: Magical Oils: Formulas and Advice
That's a good idea on the herbal teas, I might have to have an experiment myself. Have only tried it with white and black tea but will give that a go when I make up the next brew. My psychic tea blends never taste wildly pleasant . If all else fails I tend to fling in some cloves, cardamom po...

Re: Best books about Tarot
I have quite a few but my favourite is still the full companion guide to the Druidcraft Tarot, my first and best tarot tutor :). My second fav is another companion guide actually; Phantasmagoria, which comes with the Tarot of Vampyres. Both of these are well worth the price of the sets, even if you ...

Re: Person-Oriented Oracle Cards
Seconding either of the Froud decks... would also suggest The Mythic Oracle or a combo deck of the Goddesses & Sirens and Gods & Titans Oracles. The combo deck is something of a pig to shuffle (unless you have hands like Rachmaninoff ) but could be great for your purposes.

Divination by bubblebath?
Has anyone else tried divination by bubbles in the bath? I gave this a go last week and really enjoyed it. I'm absolutely useless at traditional scrying but found it oddly easy to read the bubbles. I approached it in a free-form interpretation way, rather like aeromancy/nephilomancy; using my hands ...

Re: Witches. What kind of ink do you use in your Book of Sha
My books of shadows are very much working journals so I just use a biro, albeit a dedicated one. The paper is the handmade kind as I use recycled sari-bound journals so the paper wouldn't hold up to anything fancy. I do have a separate, terribly posh book that I (mentally) call my grimoire; which is...

Re: Dieting info you probably don't want to know.
Ugh I've found the same. I discovered after Christmas that I was a good 15lbs over my comfort weight and had a devil of a time losing it again. My recommended intake is just under 1800 but I didn't lose a thing till I cut right down to 600-700. I have shifted 8lbs but am currently on a break from th...

Re: Magical Oils: Formulas and Advice
These sound good! I wonder if you have any experience with taking the oils internally? Usually we read not to do that at all. However, recently I saw a guide about internal use on website of a regular pharmacy (no hippie style, normal pharmacy that sells prescription drugs) so I was wondering if it...

Ooooh I really want to try this, thanks! I drifted out of candle making for a while but a big, prosperity, pillar candle would be just the ticket right now.

Magical Oils: Formulas and Advice
I had a search and couldn't see a general thread for oil formulas and related natter. As researching and making magical oils is my current obsession, I thought I'd go out on a limb and create one :fairy: (Please forgive me if I am duplicating... or if my British spellings hurt your brain  )...

Re: On Hoodoo
Thankyou for this beautiful post Kassandra. I've felt drawn to Hoodoo since the beginning of my path but resisted, purely from a sense of cultural appropriation. I felt that as a white, British person I didn't have the right to explore it. Further down the road, I find there are huge similarities wi...
