Wiccan Name

Do I need one? :anxious: As part of trying to be a better and more dedicated Wiccan, I've decided to look at my path from a more informed place, i.e. I've been reading books on the subject so I don't feel so much like I'm flying by the seat of my pants. Reading books from the start has been comforti...

Re: Anyone else here with chronic migraines?

I've suffered with migraines for as long as I can remember, they've changed as I've grown up and it does feel like you manage to stop them, and then they evolve and come back! Which I very frustrating and I can understand why you're feeling low about it. I've tried a lot of different treatments and...

Re: Anyone else here with chronic migraines?

I know Terrence McKenna used a certain psychedelics as a way of dealing with cluster headaches but I don't know if that's the best solution. But maybe if you looked into the chemical within the plant that aids with that, and seeing where else it occurs in other not psychotropic plants? It might be ...

Re: Anyone else here with chronic migraines?

a machine hit me with a bar in the neck to be precise, but that was really the only time it helped. Curious. Have you considered that it might be your kundalini energy rising? This was the cause of my migraines a few years ago. I'm not very versed in chakras so I'm not sure, on quick googling, it s...

Re: Anyone else here with chronic migraines?

I don't think osteopaths are much of a thing in the USA, I had chiropractic work that helped my neck though it was a bit barbaric, a machine hit me with a bar in the neck to be precise, but that was really the only time it helped.

Re: Anyone else here with chronic migraines?

Hi Meghan, welcome. I don't have chronic migraines but I'm 28 and still live with my parents as well. Is due to my mother's illness - she needs care and someone had to take her job in our family business plus I've got anxiety and mental issues. The combination of these makes it difficult for me to ...

Re: Anyone else here with chronic migraines?

Hi Meghan, I've been suffering from migraine since I was about 6 yrs old - for over 30 years now. The pattern is pretty much the same but the intensity changed over the years. I read a few articles and books dealing with migraine (there isn't really one I can recommend because I didn't keep track)....

Anyone else here with chronic migraines?

Anyone? Anyone? Just looking to chat, you can PM me, too, if you like. I've had migraines for 10 years now and at times I'm just at wits end with it. My life pretty much revolves around how terrible I feel and how I can avoid attacks. My family all know I'm constantly grouchy, but getting a full tim...

Re: Who are you, and why are you here?

I'm Meghan, 28 years old.

I'm here because, one, this is a good resource to go to! Also, I learned my love of the craft from a person a year younger than me in high school and we have been estranged for several years now so I have literally no one to talk to about my spirituality.

Re: Moon and Sun worship?

I don't do sun worship, but I do a moon ritual every month, for me it isn't a "diety" but instead a "Goddess" ritual, but that's just my distinction. When I was researching it, I looked for full moon rituals and found a lot of moon worship info, maybe try that?

Re: How I worship and cast...

Hiding in plain sight is pretty standard as quite a few Wiccans are broom closet Priest/esses. Scroll down to the altar photo section and you'll find Baby Bear's well done photo essay on altars that don't look like altars. The sense of fulfillment is a good indication of your efforts being OK. Simp...

How I worship and cast...

I have always found that Wicca was a free flowing type of experience, and as such I just do as i please, adapting spells and rituals as I go. I was "taught" by a good friend but we were in high school and weren't very serious about it so now, ten years or so later I'm just doing my own thi...

Nice to meet you, from Meg

Hello! I'm megsaroni88 from California. I'm not new to Wicca but I'm also not fully knowledgeable either, and I joined this forum to have a place to talk to others about my spirituality because I have no one in real life to do so with. I'm sort of a solitary witch by circumstance. I'm actually prett...
