Re: Benefits of a cat
That's really cool. I've also heard that cats purr at just the right frequency (25-150 hz) to heal broken bones, tendons, ligaments and muscles. They can also improve their own bone density and use it as a form of pain relief! I didn't know that about the colours and energy. It makes me wonder how m...

Re: Self dedication ritual
Hi, I did my dedication recently, on the Summer Solstice. Mine was private and quiet too. The only tools I used were candles. Elements were represented with natural objects, I wrote out a heartfelt dedication in the morning and did the ritual at sundown, after honoring the solstice in little ways th...

Re: Solitaries: why do you practice on your own?
I practice as a solitary firstly because I'm in the broom closet and I don't know any other witches/pagans, partly because I live in a rural area and go to a strict enough catholic convent school.(of recently, religion class has been subtly on why you wouldn't like to be a part of any religion excep...

Re: Guanyin, Goddess of Compassion
This is really nice research. I had never heard of her before, but after reading this I find her quite inspiring! I liked the way you told her story - I would definitely read more.

Re: Spell to help your plants grow
That's a really nice spell, gentlelamb, I like it.
I've often heard from gardeners who say plants thrive when they're loved. I think your spell is a really good way to direct that energy. I love my garden too. I've got vegetables and sunflowers outside, and cacti on my windowsill.

Re: Visualisation
When visualizing during meditation, I often slip from first to third and back again, quite naturally. In third person I usually watch from just above and behind my own head, but I do find that for me I possibly lose focus easier here . Sometimes I find I notice and experience a lot more in first per...

Re: Offerings of Thanks to Spirit Guides
Thank you for your advice. What you said about paying something back to nature really made me think about balance and how we, as humans and individuals, walk upon the earth. I asked him what he liked. While before I was unsure as I had never come across the topic before, I know now that it need only...

Offerings of Thanks to Spirit Guides
I would like to find a special way to thank my Spirit Guide as part of a ritual. Normally after working with him, or wandering about together I would just say my thanks, but I feel recently I should do a bit more to show it. He's been there for me through anything and everything. I feel him sit besi...
