Re: A pendulum question.

Thank you. I have not used my pendulum much. I just received it so I've been keeping it close so it gets used to my energy. I was just worried that the imperfection might tamper with its answers but I guess the pendulum would adjust itself accordingly. I did have an incredible 5 minute session with ...

A pendulum question.

I recently purchased a pendulum, and it is in good condition minus one little part. The piece that connects the chain is not centered, and there is no way to fix it without destroying the entire pendulum. Will the pendulum still work correctly if the chain is not centered on it, or would that potent...

Re: Creating my own tarot deck?

Yeah, sure! I think it's a fairly new deck, but I'm not completely sure.

Re: Creating my own tarot deck?

Crumbs how can you wait that long? What deck did you order? It'll be my first time using tarot cards so I'm not sure what I'm missing out on just yet but the length of time I have to wait is still so much. It's worth it though to me, I'll be taking these next couple weeks to continue grounding myse...

Re: Creating my own tarot deck?

Thanks for the input guys! I do plan on meditating for ideas for my custom cards but I did buy a deck today! Sadly it won't be here for another 6-8 weeks :(

Re: Creating my own tarot deck?

Your views and opinions are very much appreciated. Thank you muchly! I think as a beginner in tarot reading, it may be better to get an established deck so I can get the hang of things before charging off to make my own deck. I still adore the idea of creating my own, and I think I'll set a goal to ...

Re: I have some questions.

Thank you very much everyone. I've expanded on some ideas, and started setting up my altar! I am just waiting on my crystals, and other items to arrive to get started practicing and casting spells. I plan to start out pretty simple! My library of books has increased to four, and I plan to get a good...

Creating my own tarot deck?

There are some really, exceptionally love decks out there that call my name... but I find myself in a bit of a situation when those decks are $50 or higher in price, and I am just a beginner. I love thicker material cards, and cards that are rather large in size, larger than the normal playing cards...

Re: Jaera's Tools & Work-space!

I was going to use this post for pictures of my items but I don't want to have an excessive amount of spam for you all to scroll through >< Anddd this bbcode doesn't allow using the spoiler mechanism so I cannot do that either.

Re: Jaera's Tools & Work-space!

My book of shadows is currently empty, as I want my things organized so I am writing everything down on loose-leaf before I document anything into it. It's caramel brown felt book with a hardened paper lining the middle of the front and back cover. I have no athame yet, but my supply knife for cutti...

Jaera's Tools & Work-space!

Hello! These pictures here are the first attempts at creating an altar for myself. The structure is located in my walk-in closet because of lack of space anywhere else; and I fear that people other than myself would touch the items on it. I read in one of my books that it's a good idea to be the onl...

Re: Any magical properties of a bradford pear tree?

Thank you very much for your insight, Becks! I have spent a good amount of my evening taking in the information about various cultural beliefs about pears, and what have you. I learned quite a bit about the specimen, and I'm very excited to document my findings in my book!

Any magical properties of a bradford pear tree?

I am curious if the bradford pear tree has any magical properties, or abilities? Does it's wood, bark, fruit, or flowers have any specific magical properties? I have crafted myself a wand made of a smaller branch of a bradford pear tree instead of going out to buy a wand. I had scrounged about in th...

Re: A little bit of everything...

I'm Mystic Phoenix. I live in Florida with my two small dogs. I am currently a member of a pagan group and interested in witchcraft and Gardnerian Wicca. It's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance! My name is Jaera :D I'm rather new to the whole earth-based religion/paganism experience, and it's all...
