Re: Spell or Prayer what's the difference?

Prayer is asking a deity for protection, long life, a good day, etc. It's a more formal way to go about it. You're projecting your intention at the deity to grant it for you or yo help you be strong, etc. Spells are more of utilising the energies around you, within yourself, and deities you choose t...

Re: Specific incense for the God and Goddess?

That would depend on your individual God or goddess. They have their own personality and have their own preference for smells.

Personally, I use frankincense when lighting a stick for the deities in general. It's whatever you feel is right so it's not like you're doing anything wrong.

Re: Patronus and Spirit Guide?

My grandmother was a full blood Cherokee but she passed away when my mother was 14. So my mother and her brother were raised by their white father and pretty much ex communicated from the Cherokee community. Instead of helping my mother stay connected to her roots, they did as this post suggest and...

Rainbow Bridge discussion

Ive heard the term used to describe the passing of a pet or something similar in Norse myths involving the Bifrost. Personally, I don't believe it. It's nice imagery and a comfort to believe it's where our pets go when they move on. I've always believed they pass on just like we do. The phrase immed...

Re: Advice on the Tarot?

Hello! When it comes to interpreting the cards, there is no wrong answer. It all falls onto you and what you feel the card or symbols to mean. The booklets are more of a guideline than anything. As for drawing a card every day, that would be referred to as a 'Daily Draw'. It's a common thing to do a...

Re: Sharing an Altar Good idea, or Bad idea.

Well I did it. I put up a wall shelf and moved some of my Ancestor stuff onto the shelf. I took all my implements and dusted them and put them away in the empty drawers of the little table and I told my wife I did all of this stuff so we can have sacred space to share. And then I burned an incense....

Re: My Altars

I finally purchased this wall unit I've been eyeballing for awhile now. It's sort of prepped as an altar but there was a lot of empty space I filled up with trinkets. XD Any suggestions on what I can add to it in terms of Loki? Moving from the table to the wall made it apparent that I lack items for...

Did A Little Something

I don't know if I love the artwork or the symbolism the most, but either way, VERY NICE! Over the shoulder of the white wolf is a patch of blue. Is this part of a larger piece ? SWEET! E.E. Yes, it is! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ I still feel it to be unfinished and decided against sharing the whole thing. Even i...

Did A Little Something

http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160330/7cf0857bf50ff87d239f632642c13d14.jpg I drew something the other day to represent myself and my practice. I still feel it to be incomplete so here's a look at the main portions of it. Depicted is a dragon, white wolf, butterfly, and the deities Bastet and Lok...

Re: Body art and Tattoo's

One of the things I want to do this year, is get the tattoo that I've been planning for about twelve years. Good tattoo work is pricey, so finances have held me back. Just as well, since it's planned for my right shoulder, and the two surgeries in less than a year would have really messed it up. Th...

Re: Sharing an Altar Good idea, or Bad idea.

It depends. Doing things together is a great bonding experience and can deepen your relationship. It's not something you HAVE to do yet it's nice to dip into and try. As for the altars, again it depends. Mostly on what the altars are for, what deities they're dedicated to, etc. In my culture, when a...

Re: Charging crystals, and cleansing

From my understanding, you can charge crystals beneath the sun AND moon. Both energies have different benefits. As for cleansing, salt is the go to but I don't recommend it. It may not present immediate problems but if your crystal's hardness is on the lower scale, over time it can erode. It's very ...

You don't NEED an altar to cook anyways. Just have fun with all the creative ideas you can think of wether it's arts and crafts, cooking, etc. The sky's the limit.
