Re: Who Is Your Patron Deity/Deities?

가믄장아기신, goddess of fate. 이순신장군대감, General Officer. Pacific용왕신, Dragon King. Etc.

And if course Sobek-Ra.

Depends on your tradition. With Mugyo 무교, it's not uncommon.

Re: Ways to tell if you've been hexed?

...yeah. Even in my culture, divination is the one of the first things to do to see if one is cursed.

Re: Ways to tell if you've been hexed?

I would simply do divination. Any quick fire ways would simply be observant - have there been quite a bit of bad luck situations, insomnia, appetite issues etc.

Re: Rainbow Bridge discussion

I think it's well meaning but I don't personally see it as my truth. I have had my beloved passed ferrets come visit me every once in a while, so I know they can become spirits. But as to where specifically they "live" I can't say.

Re: Begginer with witchcraft and Tarot card readings

Crybaby... based off Melanie Martinez's song by chance? :') Some tips: - don't be afraid to start practicing . None of that research does you any good if you don't get up and do the (spell)work! - identify what you're drawn to, and start from there to find a path. Are you more interested in cooking?...

Re: About the threefold law

I don't believe that whatever I put out will return to me "three fold". I think it's been mentioned that Gardner's novel, High Magic's Aid was the first place this idea showed up. Then it appeared as a poem later on around 1975 in a magazine. Somehow, this evolved into the notion among ne...

Re: Need To Know More About Shamnism

You can't choose to be a shaman. There isn't really a choice in the matter. You're more talking about hedgewitchcraft. This is interesting to me, because I don't know a lot about hedge witchcraft, and have wondered as to what exactly its relationship to shamanism is. Are you insinuating that hedgec...

Traditional shamans do not typically use crystals like new agers do. We are animists, but we don't keep hoards of quartz around.

Re: About the threefold law

The 3fold law is not applicable to those who don't prescribe to that belief system. I don't believe whatever I put out will return to me and honestly I find it a bit of a shortcut way of thinking so one doesn't have to really take a scrutinizing look at their moral compass. In my belief, if we are j...

Re: DISCUSSION: Digital Book of Shadows

I really like Evernote. For being free, you can do quite a bit with it. A digital bos (or whatever) is much easier to keep. I've tried to keep physical notes many many times in the past and it never works out. Just doesn't sync with me.

Re: Folk Magic Traditions

I study and practice korean folk magic/sorcery 마술. It basically consists of sympathetic magic, energy work, traditional medicine. For example (piggybacking on illness of the eye): to cure your eye illness, I could draw your eye in the dirt and stab it several or nine times, expelling the evil spirit...
