I usually see "oracle deck" used to describe anything that isn't a tarot or lenormond deck specifically. So I'm making my own deck, it's a different system, so I call it an oracle deck. Fluffiness and angels are optional.

Angels is easy - angels are in service to a higher being, with no real will of their own. The difference between a god and a spirit, IMO, is hazier. I tend to go with the word the being itself prefers.

It could very well be mare as in nightmare - there is a kind of "spooky" spirit called mare or mara in eastern Europe. It could also be the goddess of winter and death, but that seems like a much harder battle.
