Re: To Become Oath Bound or Not?

I'm very curious. What does it mean for you to be oathbound? Is it something she is asking of you, or something you initiated? (long time no see, Nightwatcher -- good to see you around these parts again!) Yah, long time no see. I'm surprised you remember me! XD Being oathbound means you swear somet...

To Become Oath Bound or Not?

It's been a while! Sorry for being so quiet. The last few months, I've been rolling around the idea in my head to become oath-bound to Artemis. I'm still unsure honestly because I feel very afraid of disappointing Her. I did a small 3-card spread for myself and the cards seem to indicate it would be...

Re: what do we do for our deities?

Weekly rituals, offerings on festival dates and simple morning walk under the sunlight, stay healthy and write short poetry/prose, all for Apollo. A new ritual I make is "discover a new less known musician, explore the songs and write a small essay". I devoted almost everything related to...

Re: Greek Pantheon

Thanks a lot! I guess I will start with moreee research and planning the festivals to fit my current schedule. I saw people celebrating every moment but I guess that will be impossible for me as college student :P Oh, maybe someone can share their experience with Apollo? He's a Sadist. =.= Let me e...

Re: Draw Card For The Person Above You

Would love to join in! For you Falcon_Heart, I drew the Death Card Reversed. http://orig06.deviantart.net/d22b/f/2012/128/e/6/tarot_card_13__the_death_by_rannsama-d4yy8t9.png Upright, Death is about transition, change and the end of one arc and beginning of another. Reversed, it can mean that you ar...

Re: Tarot: your beginnings

I got mine half a year ago though it was only the Major Arcana. The artist recently released the Minor Arcana which I bought and now I have a full deck. It's scary accurate and I don't know if it's cause the cards really like me, I have a talent in tarot or both.

Hymn to the Lady

Muse, let me sing of Artemis, Far-Shooter, Protector of Girls, She Who Delights in the Hunt! From fair Leto did She spring, come before Her twin Apollo. Through the pains of labor She helped bore Him into this world before securing Her eternal Freedom and Maidenhood. Muse! I cannot sing enough prai...

Catch-Up

So it's been a while... some things to catch up on. 1) I lost my job a couple of weeks ago. It was my fault, but it's a lesson learned. The last 2 weeks I've had more or less a mid-life crisis (in my 20s?!?!!?) but have solved my dilemma. I had been feeling the grind. Hard. And I was starting to fea...

Re: A law you may not know, but NEED to

I would really like to see this law referenced in other sources that are not designed to insight reactions of shock and anger in their readers. Google only brings up more websites with similar biases and audiences, I can find nowhere that states it's a federal law (rather than a state law), and the...

Re: A law you may not know, but NEED to

Isn't it illegal under the Constitutional Amendments that they cannot seize property? Or force us to provide for the government (not sure if it falls under the right to not quarter soldiers)

Re: Signs from Previous Lives

It might be the trauma associated with the manner of death that upsets people. I'd prefer a painless death, but other than that, I don't find death frightening. Unless I'm in the middle of a good mystery. I need to know who dunnit! Snow Probably. It's just always confused me when people freak out o...

Re: Signs from Previous Lives

Could a lack of certain common/universal fears be a sign? Pretty much everyone I know is afraid of dying in some way or another. I've never been scared in any form. I know that I've had A LOT of past lives, so I'm wondering if because I've died so many times my soul just doesn't fear it anymore.

Re: Is it Hellenistic Polytheism if?

As a quick add; there's IS a difference between Recon and Traditionalists in Hellenism. Traditionalists tend to be veeeery strict. For them, witchcraft did not really exist in those times and thus has no place. Meanwhile Recon tends to be a bit more flexible. I personally am more Traditional leaning...
