Re: Is a desert rose good?

Desert rose is a very powerful stone for magickal workings, especially those relating to fire or using the energy of fire, due to its origins in a lightning strike. It is a catalyst for change, helping to clear away redundancy in life - good for when you feel "stuck in a rut." Its power fo...

Re: Ostara Prayer in Latin

I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds, but as a Latin student I'm always eager for a chance to put all that studying to use :) Working from the English version, the first portion of the prayer I would render in Latin as "pudicam benignamque deam deumque magnum cornutumque, nunc laudo." I o...

Working with the Fay

I've seen a lot of threads beginning with someone wanting advice on working with the fay, and rather than reply to a thread that's a bit too old I thought I would just start a new one specifically for such advice, in the hope that this will become a resource for those seeking answers about the fay. ...

Re: Hair/Braid Magick

I'm growing out a pixie cut, but I put in little braids and twists pretty much every day. You can do some form of braid magick on pretty much anything longer than a buzz cut.

Gaia Consort? Not all of their music is specifically pagan, but a lot of it is. :)

Re: The blank rune

I'm not very experienced with runes, but I've always taken the blank rune to mean that there is an answer to my question, but for whatever reason, the runes aren't going to tell me. In a way, I think of it as a kind of placeholder for a piece of information that the runes don't want to reveal to me....

Hair/Braid Magick

I've always been really drawn to cord magick, and when I found out that, during the witch trials, suspected witches were forced to shave their heads because it was believed that they could store power in braids in their hair, I thought "Spells with hair? Great idea!" I've had some success ...

Re: What Are Your Opinions on Silver RavenWolf's Books?

Well, I've finished Teen Witch now and my opinion is that it starts out good but goes downhill. The beginning's good, the section on ritual is all right, the spells are a mixed bag, and the very end section... well, anyway, I'd say that if the first half had been published on its own that would have...

Re: What Are Your Opinions on Silver RavenWolf's Books?

I just recently bought Teen Witch and haven't finished it yet, and I haven't read any of her other books, but what I like most about it is its emphasis on doing what feels right to you rather than strict ritual, as well as her opinion (at least in this book) that it's okay to blend other religious t...

Re: Anyone know how to clense a necklace of satanic energy?

I understand that this is probably too late to do any good, but if you want to cleanse an object, you could place it in a bowl of fresh water (it doesn't have to be a lot, just enough to cover the object), say a spell or ritual words of your choice over it, and leave it outside until the water evapo...

To protect yourself you might also try drawing this rune on your skin, or lighting a candle with it carved into the side: Image
