Check out my witchy blog! :)

Yayyy! I'm so excited! Please go check it out! I'm going to schedule posts to be published weekly! Right now, the only thing up is an introduction, but I will have more coming soon as I have soooo many things I want to talk about! I tried the YouTube thing, but it just wasn't my cup of tea. I hate b...

Re: Calling upon a God or Goddess

This is just from my own experience. Anytime I have tried to make a connection with any particular deity, I would get absolutely nothing. Once I stopped trying to force a connection, they finally came through! Research and meditation is fine to open yourself up to the connection, but ultimately it's...

Re: Happy Imbolc!

Happy Imbolc! Tonight I'm baking a French Honey Cake (Thanks Flora Peterson!), part of which will be used as an offering during my ritual tonight. I'm also going to do a blessing for my seeds which we are about to plant. Yay!

Re: Thoughts on "white magick" vs "black magick"

And I don't believe that it only applies to spells or magick in any sense. I think it also applies to our mundane lives. I don't see the two as separate. In my life, the two are interconnected; there is no division.

Re: Thoughts on "white magick" vs "black magick"

I was just going to say, it's the intent. 100% the intent, in my honest opinion. If you do a spell and you genuinely mean well with it, then there is no reason it should be considered black magick if it harms someone in the process. It's similar in concept with friendship. You do something that you...

Re: Thoughts on "white magick" vs "black magick"

I want to elaborate on that and say that people who practice so-called "black magick" are following their own code of ethics so what is acceptable to them, another witch wouldn't go near. So will those people not have to deal with consequences because they don't see the wrong in what they ...

Thoughts on "white magick" vs "black magick"

I'm sure this has been discussed, but I wanted to share my opinion and see what everyone else had to say. I'm reading Positive Magick by Marion Weistein as part of my studies with Flora Peterson and this is the current chapter I'm on. As I was reading, I came across a passage that basically says if ...

Re: Natural ways of dealing with migraines

A good soak in a tub filled with epsom salt! It has the magnesium you're talking about and it also helps with sore and stiff muscles. Another poster also mentioned turning off the electronics. I just wanted to add to that: When you are on the computer or watching TV or whatever.....put a piece of bl...

Re: How do I celebrate Yule?

I celebrate Yule much in the same way one would celebrate Christmas. My altar set-up includes red and green candles, a miniature Yule tree and a figure of St. Nick. This year I added a string of Christmas light along the back of my altar :) I know a lot of people consider Samhain the witch's New Yea...

Re: experiences with epona?

Epona was the first deity I worked with when I first joined Sacred Mists. This was what I wrote down in my BoS during my experience with her: Epona was originally a Celtic goddess, but when the Romans came through, the worship of Epona spread through Europe. She is a protectress of horses and mules,...
