Re: giants

In various Indo-European mythologies, gigantic peoples are featured as primeval creatures associated with chaos and the wild nature, and they are frequently in conflict with the gods, be they Olympian, Celtic, Hindu or Norse. Giants also often play similar roles in the mythologies and folklore of o...

Re: Blogging The Shadows

Thanks Azure Lily. :) I usually keep them long like that until they start breaking. Breaking just one really throws off my typing. I've kept them long for so many years that I don't know what to do with myself when I trim them.

Re: Venus Retrograde

You might want to scroll down to the natal chart report. The top of your page is just saying what planets are where. Further down is where it will start to describe your personality.

Re: How to obtain a scepter and ankh?

Perhaps you could use Google images as inspiration. This is my humble opinion here, but to me the was scepter looks like a cane with a fancy handle. So maybe you could get an average wooden cane and then you, or someone you know with a wood carving talent, could carve the handle into a more head lik...

Re: Venus Retrograde

I'm sorry that I don't have a source for this, but I did read that if a planet was in retrograde at the time you were born, you won't be as affected by it any other time it goes retrograde. For example: I'm not as affected by those lovely Mercury retrograde periods because Mercury was in retrograde ...

Re: Your Thoughts on the Blue Moon?

It seems to me that maybe people don't give much special attention to the blue moon. From what I can tell, people seem to give it the same associations as any other full moon. Trying to find spells and rituals associated with the blue moon had rather slim pickings. :|

Re: How to obtain a scepter and ankh?

Have you looked on YouTube? The cost would depend on the size of the items you want and what materials you use. A scepter is similar to a wand or staff, so if you can't find any satisfying instructions for a scepter, perhaps looking into the instructions for wands and staffs might yield interesting ...

Moths are kind of my mini fan club. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/lcKSn_AWHiycmIouRi9glQOOE_oVJPB84vGf2ndgn5s=w477-h635-no That one spent a few minutes just sitting there on my hand. Then right after it left, a smaller one came and sat on my chest. I fear for the little guys when th...

Re: Difference between a BOS and a Grimoire?

It really depends on who you ask. Agreed. I've noticed that some people will say that they are two different books, while other people use the two words interchangeably. From one source I've read, the author says that the book of shadows is a person's copy of the specific information from their cov...

Re: Blogging The Shadows

I made my sigils for the zodiac signs, elements and sabbats. The other day on Tumblr I seen that someone had made a set for the phases of the moon, so I think that 's what I'll do next. I'd also like to do a set for some of the common themes of spells, such as love, luck, money, health, etc.. I've ...

Re: Crystal/Gemstone starter kit

Clear quartz is a multipurpose stone. It can be substituted for any other stone; similar to substituting white candles for any other candle color. Citrine is good for personal power. Rose quartz is tied to emotions. Green aventurine is linked to luck and optimism. Amethyst usually represents issues ...

Re: Using energy

Some of the books that I read point to the creation of psi balls as a way to learn how to manipulate energy. I won't go over the steps since they've been covered in other places on the forum. The link attached to the phrase psi balls leads to a sight that gives information not only on how the make p...

Re: Do you want to visit a haunted location?

I'd like to visit either a haunted castle or maybe Isla de las Muñecas (Island of the Dolls) in Mexico. If you're not one to be creeped out by dolls, the location does seem pretty. Roughly $15 for a 3 or 4 hour tour doesn't seem bad. ::coolglasses:: If you're more interested in a armchair journey, t...
