Ask a witch a (less weird!) question!

I run the "Ask a Witch a Question" website http://www.witchpathforward.com/ and the questions come in thick and fast. But recently there have been some WEIRD questions..... Will I curse Justin Bieber if someone pays me? Is autism possession by evil spirits? and "Where do witches go on...

Re: Help needed with spirit board

Hmmm. I feel some of you are being a little bit quick to focus on the negatives of the ouija board. Used properly and with respect it can be a safe and interesting experience. Light some white candles and visualise a protective white circle around yourself and your workings. Be prepared to sit there...

Ask a Witch a Question.... my new blog site

My new website has launched today - its a mixture of my online journal, some key links to good witchy sites and also has a section called "Ask a witch a question..." where I aim to assist people new to the craft. I will be branching out into teaching and spiritual direction once the site i...

Re: Wood matches for lighting candles

I have used both. If you are worried about the environmental aspect of wood matches (and its a very valid thought) then possibly you could offset by planting a small tree at the Sabbats? I do not personally believe that lighting a candle for my candle magic with anything other than a wood match woul...

Lol, This is a great quote. I shall use it next time somebody annoys me on an occult website.

Re: Would this be considered a curse?

I'm going to answer this with a no - for two reasons. The first is that even if you do your spell with the very best of intentions, you are still meddling with the will of another person. I personally believe this is wrong. Secondly, you do not know how your spell will come to fruition. A person is ...

Re: Do you consider extra elements beyond the basic five?

I use blood in rituals sometimes. The main focus is to give something of me to the circle. I feel I ask a lot from the elements when I do ritual magic and I like to contribute to the energies by giving something of myself. Only a small symbolic amount from a pin prick, I do know some witches who fee...

Re: Complicated Tarot Question

Divination gives you a window into a possible future. But it is important to remember that the future is not a fixed point in time, it can be changed and influenced. I use tarot readings to suggest what will be the outcome if I go along the way that I am going. If I get a bad or a negative future ou...

Re: Ritual Robes

I do use ritual robes, basic comfortable caftan types. However the bottoms are all a bit frayed where my degus have had a good chew, so I sometimes wonder if sky clad would be more practical.

Re: charcoal discs?

You could try burning dried herbs on a small bonfire or chiminea I make up a small wood fire at the bottom of my cauldron and throw a few herbs on and the aroma lasts for ages.

Re: Disturbing Prophecy

The thing to remember is that divination only shows you possible futures. Using the guidance you take from your cards, you can change your behaviours to change your future. Negative cards don't mean you will fail, just that you might fail if you continue in the way you are going. Are there any simpl...

Imbolc

I'm dressing the corn dolly I made for Lammas last year. And I'm painting runes on my cauldron and having a symbolic well dressing. Will definitely be hanging my ribbon on the front door for Brigid to bless as well. What a wonderfully creative festival Imbolc is! (And I'll probably eat too much too ...
