Zimbabwe staff

Postby p3nathan » Sat Oct 15, 2011 5:33 pm

My grandfather has two staffs that he got from his travels in Zimbabwe. The first one is long and thin, black, with a round end. The second is a wood staff, much thicker, brown, with animal carvings on it and a large sphere at the end. He calls them his anger sticks and says they ward off evil. Anyone know anything about this?

I'm sorry I don't but what does come to mind is that they are made from wood. He can give his bad energy to the wood. It's just like a tree, when you have such a huge amount of energy, give it to a tree. The old saying, "hug a tree isn't so far off" ;)

I'm reminded of a blackthorn "blasting" rod which simply means banishing. I have one with a brass knob on top to hold on to.
