Blue Gaia sponsors the development of Indigo House which will be a residential center for homeless and formerly homeless young adults (18 to 28) who have an interest and ability in the healing arts. It will be a place to live, gather, rest, teach, learn, share, study and utilize their gifts as seers, light workers, earth activists, intuitive healers and vibrational healing practitioners.

The Indigo House created a weekly group that gave an opportunity for bonding within the indigo community, as well as a format for the young people to process their emotions and to set goals.

In May, they launched The Indigo Exchange Program, which takes the young people who are most at risk from drug addiction and offers them a healthy place away from the city for a while, where they can meditate and turn inward for healing.

They sent a young man to Lake Tahoe where he did emotional body processing and meditation for three weeks. After that he was sent to Kayumari, a spiritual community in Yosemite, where he participated in a Native American sweat lodge and shamanic healing work. He was accepted and began training in August 2008. Nate is now a student at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, Tempe, Arizona.

This organization was featured on A&E's Psychic Kids: Children of the Paranormal show. It provides services that connect psychic kids to other psychic kids, as well as help their parents and other family members to understand and better communicate them.

To meet the overwhelming demand and the increase of interest since the A&E show aired, they've created several additional outreach services:

A Place of Light created two Yahoo Groups for those who want to seek out others like them. Both sites are closely monitored and those joining are screened.

One is for children under 15, and all messages are monitored before being posted. The other is for those physically in the Massachusetts area, called, Children with Light. Through this group, you can post messages to others in the area who are interested in learning about or sharing their intuitive experiences. Membership is open to children of any age in Massachusetts.

They also have begun a monthly newsletter noting the events to be held at A Place of Light, stories and links to other programs that offer helpful services, etc.

Finally, they have a blog where you can leave your comments or respond to the posts already there. http://childrenwithlight.blogspot.com

This workshop has provided tools to assist children who have had intuitive/psychic experiences, and is for parents and children.

"Over the past few years, many parents have shared with me experiences their children have had involving intuition. They also express that they don’t know what to say to their children or how to handle them and have asked for my advice. These children describe their experiences as if they are very real but we often question them thinking it is their imagination or confabulation; when in their reality these experiences are real.

How often have you heard a 4 year old telling you with their uninhibited manner of speaking that they saw a recently deceased family member in your home? Their descriptions are detailed and very accurate. Or another situation in which a child has a dream of a deceased family member who gives them a message about another family member who soon passes.

Or you hear of children who are have near death or fatal diseases speaking of their guardian angel who reassures them that their surgery or illness will all work out and thus eliminate their fears and giving them a sense of peace and confidence.

These experiences mystify us and also confuse most of us as adults. We have no real scientific explanation for what these children experience as of yet. As a result, we question how to handle these wonderful gifted children." --Eliza Rey
