His music was consistently strong and good. One of my favorite artists, hard to choose which song was best, but this one was playing on the jukebox in my workplace when I met husband.

Yeah, he was an abuse survivor and music was his safe place. Seems he had a lot of integrity as a musician, and was widely respected by his peers (rare to find these days).

Don't care too much for Tom's later stuff though, but then I tend to only like most artists' early work anyway.
