I'm going to go ahead and quote Doreen Valiente here:

This quote comes from The Charge of the Goddess, an inspirational poem which is supposed to be a message from the Goddess to her worshipers. The Charge means different things to different folk.
I think that you will find the "power of switching to the Wicca religion" not from spells, but from the sense of security and self-identity it gives you. For me, personally, I have found it has taken me from a shy, disappearing shadow to someone with a LOT more self-confidence/empowerment.
