Cord Magick

Post by Inquisitor85 »

Does anyone on here include cord Magick in their practice?

It's my go to Magick for almost any occasion and for me is more potent than pretty much any other form of spellwork for most applications, but it seems to be a forgotten art that no one uses anymore.

Also does anyone know why its fallen out of favour so much?

If you mean hex's, bind's, and rune's then "yes way." Because the fair/nice way is fairer/nicer than the rough/tumble.

I’ve used the 9-knot spell and written my own 13-knot version. I’ve used the feather-in-knot witch’s ladder & the witch’s measure-cord for various spells. I’ve read of corpse burial cords used in serious binding spells and of course they’re not used much nowadays with modern burial practices but are substituted by twine & grave yard dirt. As far as I’m aware from reading it seems that cords are just as popular as they ever have been especially in various regional areas. The spinning, weaving & macrame magic have become hobbies and cottage crafts. I have one of those toy pot holder “loop” looms and have a good time with it and yarn scraps. There are books of just knot spells too.

I do knot magick regularly, and I've used cords to bind and redirect before...

What do you use your thirteen knot spell for? I tend to use cords as protection spells rather than bindings and find they work well.

Could you explain what about it makes it more powerful than any other spellwork?

I really only use mine as symbols of my degrees and as my connection to the astral. Sometimes with others...we tie them together to form structures and for knot magic.

My 13-knot rhyme is for manifesting & is based on the elements and tools.

I'm not sure, I think it's a YMMV thing. I really struggle with other forms of spellwork, where others are better with crystals or divination. I use it as a protection I think because my family have maritime connections, and I still live in a port city.

You might know win + lose (or, this is cool) = happy. Game theory.
Also, win x lose (or, I go for my life) = destroy. Christianity.

Well when you combine the two, you actually get a choice: Do I want more, or do I want no, humanity. Cord magic wants none - makes room for new wisdom, because self is NOT stuck in the faith of old.

In other words, to somehow not want xtian game theory is to suppose self fair enough - through ritual.

According to the theory on light, there are people you like and accept, and people who you just accept. Cord magic is the synthesis - a universe of its own.

With the cord work entitled, enlightened, safe... shadow work is a great way to heal the mind. It leads to a pretty civil magician in an honest society choosing what works, not what stays "stuffed."

What is this person I dread?
How do I accept my own shadow...
It is not awful to be "X."

I love how, when the universe is honest, the universe bears plenty.
