“Pagan Witchcraft is a fully developed, independent religion…it is a modern development which deliberately draws upon ancient images and ideas for contemporary needs.”
Professor Ronald Hutton, The Triumph of the Moon: A History of Modern Pagan Witchcraft.
“An’ it harm none, do what thou wilt”.
Entry poem - The Moon .
As I looked up upon her shining light, I felt my darkness fade in to something bright.
I knew where to come, I 'd been searching for years, I'd finally found where to release all those fears.
I knew I would find you along a starry night, even though your glow had always held me tight.
And as I walked along that Stoney road , feeling all of life's worldly load.
something inside said you know where you belong, and so you had always been there, inside I knew all along.
So now when I need you, I will always know where you are, just up above amongst those beautiful stars. And so now my soul just sings in tune, and thanks to you!! To you ....my mother, my moon.

What it means to be a witch by Raine.
For me it means coming home, home to pure and natural instinct and being guided by the energies that connect each and every one of us and everything we see, we feel, and that we don’t!! A witch trusts her intuition and knows it will guide her home, connected to nature, the universe and all that exists. She can see what the eyes don’t, hear the whispers of the wind, the weeping of the willows, the innocence of nature and its everlasting will to create and evolve, she looks to nature and to the moon, stars and planets as she knows they have her back!! She is one with the energies she receives and understands how to use them, for the betterment of others and herself and all that has been and will be.
She understands her journey is vital and her search began the day she was born; she will face the shadows in the dark as she knows it leads to light!!
She is in tune with herself and that of all that exists, and celebrates this unique connection, she embraces the energies and encourages to help her create through the act of her will and divine connection.
She will draw in to herself and receive the messages always there for us if we listen, she will bring out the gifts from within and guide others to a life with more meaning, that answers and satisfies our souls.
She knows this calling is the nature of all living things, a pure, powerful and natural instinct, insight, energy, leading us back to our whole and a level of existence we were born to be aware of and part of.
She accepts the sun and moon, as our divine parents and follows their guiding and loving light!!
13………. Point principle of wiccan common ground.
1. We practice rites to attune ourselves with the natural rhythm of life forces marked by the phases of the Moon and the seasonal Quarters and Cross Quarters.
2. We recognize that our intelligence gives us a unique responsibility toward our environment. We seek to live in harmony with nature in ecological balance offering fulfillment to life and consciousness within an evolutionary concept.
3. We acknowledge a depth of power far greater than that apparent to the average person. Because it is far greater than ordinary it is sometimes called ‘supernatural,' but we see it as lying within that which is naturally potential to all.
4. We conceive of the Creative Power in the universe as manifesting through polarity – as masculine and feminine – and that this same Creative Power lies in all people, and functions through the interaction of the masculine and the feminine. We value neither above the other, knowing each to be supportive of the other. We value sex as pleasure, as the symbol and embodiment of life, and as one of the sources of energy used in magickal practice and religious worship.
5. We recognize both outer worlds and inner, or psychological worlds sometimes known as the Spiritual World, the Collective Unconsciousness, the Inner Planes etc. – and we see in the interaction of these two dimensions the basis for paranormal phenomena and magickal exercises. We neglect neither dimension for the other, seeing both as necessary for our fulfillment.
6. We do not recognize any authoritarian hierarchy, but do honor those who teach, respect those who share their greater knowledge and wisdom, and acknowledge those who have courageously given of themselves in leadership.
7. We see religion, magick and wisdom in living as being united in the way one views the world and lives within it – a world view and philosophy of life which we identify as Witchcraft – the Wiccan Way.
8. Calling oneself ‘Witch’ does not make a Witch – but neither does heredity itself, nor the collecting of titles, degrees and initiations. A Witch seeks to control the forces within her/himself that make life possible in order to live wisely and without harm to others and in harmony with nature.
9. We believe in the affirmation and fulfillment of life in a continuation of evolution and development of consciousness giving meaning to the Universe we know and our personal role within it.
10. Our only animosity towards Christianity, or towards any other religion or philosophy of life, is to the extent that its institutions have claimed to be ‘the only way’ and have sought to deny freedom to others and to suppress other ways of religious practice and belief.
11. As American Witches, we are not threatened by debates on the history of the Craft, the origins of various terms, the legitimacy of various aspects of different traditions. We are concerned with our present and our future.
12. We do not accept the concept of absolute evil, nor do we worship any entity known as ‘Satan’ or ‘the Devil’ as defined by Christian tradition. We do not seek power through the suffering of others, nor accept that personal benefit can be derived only by denial to another.
13. We believe that we should seek within Nature that which is contributory to our health and well-being.
What is a wiccan tradition?
A wiccan tradition is one of many varieties of organized groups, solitaires, families, witches, covens, cyber witches who follow the customs and beliefs of the Wiccan, religion.
Traditions follow the teachings of various wiccan tradition founders, such as the founders of Gardnerian, Alexandrian, Feri, Correllian, practicing in covens or groups , internet organized tradition groups or on their own as a solitary practice.
The traditions can differ in various ways but use interchangeably the wiccan rede
“An’ it harm none, do what thou wilt” or “Do as you will, but harm none”.
They generally follow the wheel of year, and the cycles of the moon, and the god and goddess, they may or may not practice magical teachings and receive training for various skills in the form of divination and spell work but to name of few.

My understanding of Universal and personal Deity.
Personal deity is a concept of deity we understand, so we can connect with deity on a personal and close level, we create an image formed through our collective unconscious, which we can familiarize ourselves and desires and so allows us to channel our connection to what deity means to us on a personal level. It also allows for spiritual growth and a way to express ourselves from within our unconscious mind. We all have a primal instinct to receive deity and for everyone it is a different experience, none of which are in comparison or better or truer than the other and is exactly what is meant by…… personal Deity.
Universal Deity- Is the level of Deity that we all have a connection to, it stands from creation and birth of our relationship to Deity, although this form of deity is beyond our mortal understanding, we know however all things come from this divine nature. This is the home of, and base, of all forms of deity which we have created to help us interact and connect with, and to help us bring out our true nature and connection to the divine, in hope of becoming part of the whole. This is why the Universal Deity is often symbolic of a Diamond – many facets and dimensions but all connected to one place which is home to all that exists.

What is meant when we say that to unite with the God, the Goddess ‘fell into matter’?
This explains how the goddess fell through the seven planes of existence to the physical plane thus being the reason of our creation, as, she separated many parts of herself (souls) that ascended through the seven planes to the physical plane (earth). In other words, she had to become a mortal (us) and live through the physical plane to experience union with god and thus meaning how we come to be.
This is how we see the god and goddess as our divine parent and how we come to understand our deep and divine connection between them.

What is meant by the term higher self.
The higher self is the part of ourselves that exists in our higher conscious, this can be referred to as our spirit, divine or soul, depending on how you perceive its form. It is the part of ourselves that must be entered in order for one to connect with the divine part of ourselves, this state of consciousness can be reached through practices of meditation and such.
This is where we can retrieve great knowledge from within and access our divine gifts, for example, psychic abilities, healing, creativeness it is also the state we would want to achieve for performing any magical workings / rituals within the craft.
This is also the part of ourselves that never dies as it exists on a non-physical plane and is connected to the void from which all things are created and connected.

What is my understanding of Magic, Karma and the Law of three?

Magic – We are all made of energy, everything that exists is made up of energy and we are all each and everyone and everything is connected through this same energy.
Magic is the art of accessing this energy and controlling it by thought, will, intent, in hope to sway the energy in working with us to bring the effect of what we hope to create

Karma – is the belief that if you harm someone or if you do good, this in effect is what will come back to you in some way. Everything you do effects the universe and it needs to keep a balance so nothing we do is forgotten and so affects us in turn in our own ends as we are all the same energy.

The law of three- This is a Wiccan belief that if we harm others, through thought, will, word, intention we are ultimately going to receive negative energy (karma) back from the universe three times over and vice versa. If we do good with our will.

Chakras
Chakras are energy points within our bodies this connects with spirit energy/ divine energy, we have many chakras within us. These many chakras are connected by what we call meridians, like a energy map.
We use this system/map to aid in medicinal practices or healings, such as acupuncture which helps with physical ills by stimulating the chakra points.
Most work with the seven main chakra points these are believed by some to be connected or correspond to seven spheres of existence and the seven bodies.

Basic chakra list below :
Root chakra - at the base of the spine - physical plane
sacral chakra- ovaries/ prostrate - emotional plane
Solar Plexus Chakra - navel area - mental plane
Heart Chakra (heart area)- astral plane
Throat Chakra (throat and neck area)- soular/egoic plane
Brow or Third Eye Chakra (pineal gland or third eye)- monadic plane
Crown Chakra (Top of head)- Divine.
