My way of "circle casting", so to speak

When at the altar, I sit in front of it and anoint my forehead and chest with water that was from the tap (it was collected after running for a minute to help let it become a bit more 'pure') and say, "By Earth, Sea, and Sky may I be protected from all that is not of the light and of good intention". I got this from a book I read awhile ago, but it really spoke to me and has since become a big part of my routine. As I do this, I keep three fingers wet, and tap from the ring finger to the pointer with each finger representing a different part of the world (ex. Earth = pointerfinger, Sea = Middle, and so on). I then make an ex on my forehead and on my chest by doing this as well.

Afterwards, I will close my eyes and envision my grounding and centering. For awhile, it was just golden-orange fire being pulled up through my body and around me, but it's since turned into a biiiiiiig bubble of the same fire instead of just regular fire. I've taken to wearing my pentacle necklace for protection from negative energies and others' feelings due to my empathic abilities. It's really helped, and I've found that a very quick way, instead of full on visuals for bringing up said shield, is to tap the pentacle three times, and quickly envision the bubble. It's done WONDERS!

I then use my wand that I made myself, and weave it over my altar, to help weave a protective barrier of 'magick' to ensure nothing gets in that I don't want in. I also use it to draw a pentacle on my forehead and my chest as well saying clearly "protect my mind and spirit" then move to the chest over the heart to say, "Protect my heart".

After this, I start working on whatever it is I do work on, after asking for Loki to fully join me and offer his protection over my work and myself as I do my work. This sets up for spell working, and also for meditations.

:: Promoting positivity in one's life and environment ::

Ingredients/Tools needed:

- Any candle, but I use the white candles that melt rainbow colors. Rainbows = Happiness.
- Oil for anointing, I use Patchouli since it's Loki's favorite.

For Spell:

I anoint the candle with the oil and clearly state, "I empower this with my personal energy and call upon Loki to bless it." And then I will light it, and envision the room full of bright light and happiness. After doing so, clearly state the intent of blessing myself and those around me with positivity and bringing up the feeling of the area around me. And I just let it burn until I feel the need to stop it. I will keep using it as needed.

Spell for Helping Another Heal

As with all my spells, I make them up. I feel like it adds more power to it, when you create it yourself. Sometimes, the same spell will differ with words, because I forget what I said last time and forget to write it down. Haha.

I made this one to help our family friend in the hospital.

Ingredients/Tools:

- Wand
- White Candle
- Patchouli Oil
- Metal to carve with. I use my favorite hair clip, because I've used it so much, I feel it holds a lot of my own power within it.

For Spell:

I start by doing my normal ritual, and then begin by carving into the candle my intent of the spell. I do this with all candle magick, to help make my purpose more intent. I try to utilize the fact that the words will start melting away, as symbolism for that particular problem melting away or adding more power to the situation if it's a good one, with how smaller it gets (meaning, the more it shrinks, the more power is added). For this spell, I carved in the name of the person ill and what I wanted with them. "NAME HEALTHY AND WELL". I then anointed the way I've taken to doing it, which feels really correct for my work, is going up then down, and doing this on all sides of the candle, then going around it, as if you were wrapping a present with a ribbon. Put the candle in it's holder and light it. Using the wand, weave more 'magick' and energy around the candle itself, to protect it from any external influences.

When this is done, close your eyes, imagining the one who is ill and imagine the flame of the candle and the whiteness of the candle as well, enshrouding the one you hope to help heal, and transfer the energy into them. I do this until it feels right to stop, and continue on.

13 and 3 are important numbers to me and my practice. 13 represents Loki directly, and 3 is a big number within Norse mythology, so it has more importance to me as well.

I say the following 13 times, with my eyes closed and envisioning this going out into the world and to the person you wish to help:

"NAME will be healthy, she/he will be well, she/he will pull through, and she/he will be okay".

When this is done, I end with envisioning the above with the white light and flame again, then finish with the below three times:

"As I say it, so shall it be"

And when I'm all done, I do my offering for Loki, to thank him for his help. Usually I drink something in his honor, and talk with him for a bit, because it's something that's really worked in the past.

REPEAT THIS NIGHTLY UNTIL DESIRED EFFECT IS REACHED.

:: Spell for Good Health ::

I've been struggling (and always have) with fears over my health, and I also suffer from some not so great health issues. It could be worse, but I have a chronic illness that's hard to deal with some days. Because it makes me feel weird in random places at times, I get scared. This is to help me over come those fears, and also to help promote positive health within me.

Ingredients/Tools:

- Red candle
- Metal to carve with
- Patchouli (I really don't use anything but, Loki LOVES this oil, so when I work directly with him for these, I use Patchouli when he's involved).
- Wand

Directions: Same as all candle spells I do. There are no specific words for this one. This one was to help with a few things: Good health, good mental health, eliminate worries and fears over health, help me with staying on track with exercising and overcoming food addiction. Also to ensure that some pain I've been having for awhile in one of my breasts (TMI, SORRY) is nothing to worry about, as the doctor said. It's just not normal for me, and due to my natural anxiety, it freaks me out. So I said something about how this candle is going to represent my fears and problems going away, and that the smaller the candle gets, the less I have to worry about it. I said "I don't have to worry about it at all, because it is already NOT a problem, but the shorter it gets, the less I worry about it".

With wand (aside from protecting the candle again), make the motion of drawing out any negativity or impurities from your body, and just 'toss it' out the window. Basically, draw it out, and holding the wand point and swing your arm towards the window and say that it's "going out the window where it can no longer hurt me".

I let this candle burn until it's done. When finished, I throw away the candle as the store I got them from don't know if they're safe for the environment, so I got the OKAY from Loki to just toss them.

:: Spell specifically for positive mental health ::

I used a red candle for courage and strength, and carved in the side the word happy, after anointing the candle with patchouli for a good state of mind and peacefulness as well as for the smell to work as an antidepressant.

I sat there, and thirteen times said (this is just personal for me, the number 13 is my lucky number so to speak. Haha):

"Grant me strength to feel well,
Good bye feelings of anger and despair,
Nothing but light and joy will be felt from here on out,
While leaving room for the occasional shout."

I let the candle keep burning as well. Hopefully it will work. I haven't done a real candle spell in years. The last time I did it, I blessed a penny for good luck before an interview while job searching. Haha.

THIS WAS ONE OF THE FIRST I DID AFTER JUST GETTING BACK INTO THIS. It worked really well.

Online Book of Shadows - Compilation of Spells :: Unsure how this one is, or if it's any good, but upon first glance it seems like it would be good to at least go based off of to get inspiration for my own spells and rituals. (:

Good Luck Jar Spell

So what I did, is I followed the spell from this site linked here: Clicky!

I did it outdoors, as stated above, because it really empowers me to do things outdoors especially under the moon. (:

I used Chamomile from my tea bag, French Thyme, Rosemary, and Cloves. I also anointed it with Frankincense. I used a bottle I had already had sand and a sea shell in, as it represented a dream and aspiration I've had for a long time, which is to live by a beach. I figured it would be great to just add everything into here already, as it already held personal power for me. (: And natural things too! Taken straight from a beach in Florida. Haha!

So I put them in in layers, and I drew on three runic sigils. One (the arrow one) was for success, the other ones next to it were for good luck, and the one below represents self. I did my absolute best drawing these on with permanent marker since it was all I had... But it worked. Haha!

Here are the end products, and also some pictures of the process!

:: LOVE SPELLS ::

I don't usually do these, but being lonely and misunderstood, I wanted to do something to attract my soul mate. This link here feels like a great spell. (:

Here~

I empowered each item by saying what it represented. Example being, I had two buttons. I said that they represented being a pair, as buttons usually come in twos. However, they mismatched which I said represented how we were able to be a pair despite our differences and that would make us even more special together. Instead of a black candle, I did a light blue with a red candle. I put them within the same holder, crossing with one another so their wax would melt together, signifying the union of two in love. I also placed the candle holder within a small bowl of water infused with rose oil.
