Black Tape Binding Spell
At a good friend's suggestion, I'm adding this spell that I cobbled together from different places and put my own twist on. This is a binding spell, which I only suggest performing when you absolutely have no other options available to you for keeping this person from harming others or themselves.
Requirements
~a photo, drawing, or some sort of physical representation of the person you are binding
~a roll of black tape
~your altar, with objects that represent the four elements. I would recommend a bowl of salt, a bowl of water, a stick of incense, and a small candle.
~some sort of container that can hold the item once the ritual is complete. A drawer will also work, as will simply burying the item in the earth.
The Spell
Step your altar and cast a circle. You'll want to have a good, strong protective one around you while you perform this spell. This is because you are basically wrapping your energy around that of another person, and whether this individual is a magical practitioner or not, their natural energy will struggle against being bound.
As such, if you decide to use this particular spell, it will need to be repeated at least once a week if you intend to keep this person bound.
Take the item that you'll be using to represent the person you intend to bind and carefully stick one end of the tape on the edge of it. As you begin to wind the tape around the item, visualize your energy weaving itself into the tape, around the item, and thence around the individual. It can be helpful to repeat a mantra or chant while you do this, to strengthen the binding and your intent. Something along the lines of:
_______, I bind you from doing physical harm to yourself or others.
_______, I bind you from doing verbal harm to yourself or others.
_______, I bind you from doing emotional harm to yourself or others.
_______, I bind you from doing mental harm to yourself or others.
_______, I bind you from doing spiritual harm to yourself or others.
Once you have securely bound the item with the black tape, take the item and hold it over the bowl of salt. Take a pinch of the salt and rub it over the tape while saying:
By the power of earth, I bind you from doing harm.
Then pass the item through the smoke wafting from the incense while saying:
By the power of air, I bind you from doing harm.
Then hold the item over the bowl of water. Dip your fingers into the water and sprinkle the droplets over the item while saying:
By the power of water, I bind you from doing harm.
Finally, pass the item through the smoke wafting from the lit candle while saying:
By the power of fire, I bind you from doing harm.
Repeat as often as you feel necessary until the ritual is complete. Take the item and put it in whatever container you wish, a drawer or a box, or even bury it. Just make sure that it's something that can symbolize in your mind a door firmly shutting on this person's power to harm.
