I think I made my puppy sick...

I casted a circle marking the circle with candles at each quarter. I found a spot in my basement that I swept with a broom. I also called the quarters. I called on the Goddess. I did a banishment of depression and set a protection around the house. Before I started I grounded and centered myself. I thanked my deities. I released the quarters and circle. When I opened the door for the main floor and stepped in something squishy. My puppy threw up everything she had for dinner which was spaghetti and it looked like it was not chewed. It could be just too much food but it was right at the door where the crack was to open. I closed both doors of the room before starting. Did I do something wrong?

You did not do anything magically wrong. Really, there is nothing about circle casting - which uses all natural energies - that would cause a pup to upchuck. pSpaghetti probably isn't a good thing to feed a dog for a meal. Their digestion, especially in a puppy, isn't up to it. She probably ate too fast, & if she ate fast when she might have needed to empty her bowels, there'd be no room in her puppy insides to hold more. And pfft - Up it comes.

As for the location outside the ritual room door ... Any pet will wait outside a closed door while their Person of Interest is separated from them. It's in the Official Rule Book they secretly pass among them.

Thank you, I just wanted to make sure. My dad just makes her a plate like that. I just didn’t know if I pulled to much energy and that’s why it happened

Raising & directing energy is something you can play with a bit & get to know how it feels and behaves. In and of itself the energy is neutral. Intent - the desire & emotion we put behind it - is what determines it's calibre. I know my cat's like it when I draw energy to my hands & kneed the cats like bread dough. They purr nine to a dozen. Too much energy too fast might make you giddy. The excess energy would most likely be contained within your aura and certainly within the boundary of the circle.

The 2 exceptions I can think of are the emotions of extreme anger which we automatically push out and away from the aura toward the object of our wrath, and extreme love that we also send outward to the object of our adoration. There's that intent again. As a thought form, anger looks like dirty lightening flaring out from the aura, and love looks like a sunbeam. Emotions would still stay within a cast circle until released. Otherwise we walk thru people's aura energy all the time. blue_flee

Energy is always all around us, flowing through and penetrating matter. Matter itself is shaped energy. When our force of thought shapes energy into the circle, then it behaves a certain way. It can't help forming a sphere. It's very subtle but can be felt and seen. Playing with energy balls between the hands is a safe way to get used to how this thought-shaped energy behaves.

Alright, I struggle with seeing and feeling energy. I feel at peace when I was working last night and I’m still confused on how to release the energy when done that’s what made me worry about Chloe

Pups have a habit of eating anything, doing it to fast and eating to much. They then decorate with their human fore most in their little puppy brains. Hopefully it never includes the "surprise in the shoe".

Cats covet the shoes. :|

Anyhooo, letting go can be an exhale & push from the gut/thrust with the arm motion, using a real physical, muscular push action. Releasing energy comes in different degrees: a directed version using a tool; or as when charging spell materials by pulsing thru the chakra in the palms of the hands & our focussed, intense gaze. When we stop pushing &'thinking it, the energy stops flowing. Then ground again for stability.

And like everything in WC, there's no one way to do it. When we're learning, the physical action enables the intent of release just because we're used to action following thought. A few words of intent can also help our focus. Feeling at peace is a good indication that you got it right.

I have my own dog and he has to stick to a very strict diet of a certain type of dog food. A dog's diet is so strict that to even change their type of dog food you need to start adding bits of it in their food in advance so that it gets used to the new food. The reason your dog threw up, it seems to me, is because of the spaghetti. :)
