Yea, it can be a challenge. Nobody's going to pour the knowledge into our heads, dang it. I think it helps to organize so make a list of what you are most interested in knowing; be specific with the questions you have. Then tackle the subjects one at a time. Look up the discussion topics on the board. Get a cheap notebook & make notes. Then move to the next topic when you're satisfied or post Qs for clarification.

Simplify. Break down topics like circle casting into its parts. I found learning circle casting was a short cut to learning grounding, centering & projecting energy all in one package. And unless you practice casting circles you won't get it. Simple fact. The 1st three steps will introduce the elements without summoning 1. walk deosil ↩️ & spritze with mixed salt- water (earth & water), 2. waft with incense (air & fire) 3. Load, aim & shoot to project 👆🏽the circle. That’s it. There’s no rule that we have to copy ceremonial magic. We can just 🧹sweep a circle ↪️ widdershins & 👆🏽cast deosil ↩️ to prep sacred space.

Re: energy - energy used “just to practice“ is live ammo & should be grounded into the earth or loaded into a glass of water & poured on the ground later.

Full moons are good opportunities to practice "live." Look up the current year's full moon dates & then observe them with a simple circle. A full moon rises as the sun sets, & the moon reaches its’ highest point about midnight. The moon's energy is still there even if it's cloudy & can't be seen. Extend your subtle senses to your surroundings. Greet the spirit-of-the-place. Leave an offering of bread or fruit, or charge a glass of water in moonlight to share.
. Just start doing simple circle casting ritual and it will come naturally

Re: spells -
. learn different methods . Ex: a Witch's bottle, a candle spell, the Witch's ladder, sigil-making. See EUTM spell section.
. select ingredients that feel related to the goal by element, a suggestive scent or appearance
. use sweet scents for love, citrusy to cleanse, forest scents for abundance & pungent to banish
. use incantations to say what you expect results to be & don’t say what you don’t want
. A raw quartz stone (found on the ground or at landscaping/garden supplies) is great to learn with. Quartz is all purpose & reusable with a tap water wash between uses. With these few items you can do a lot & then you'll have started your witch kit.
